But that’s Charles Smith - extroverted and uncompromising in everything he does. He engaged the Danish artist Rikke Korff to design the labels. She was asked to visualise the martial art, Chinese food and his preference for Riesling wines.The Kung Fu Girl Riesling comes from the state of Washington, north of California. This part of America, with its sunny days and cool nights, offers ideal conditions for Riesling wines. This modern white wine is clear and instantly accessible. Its mineral character and an excellent balance of fruit and acidity make it a pleasure to drink. The Kung Fu Girl Riesling is a light yellow with slightly green glints in colour. The medium-dry wine is redolent of light peaches, mandarin oranges and apricots. A fine minerality and a decidedly pleasing freshness predominate the palate.Try this elegant Riesling with steamed fish, sushi, Indian dishes or grilled, sweet-and-sour poultry.
