This pure varietal Riesling from Australia is crisp and invigorating. It has a nose redolent of Granny Smith apples, citrus fruits and nuances of confectionery. The white wine from the Eden valley in the Barossa region of Southern Australia is juicy, stimulating and slightly sparkling on the palate. The Langmeil ‘Live Wire’ Riesling shows a fine sweetness perfectly harmonizing with the crisp acidity.

The Riesling matured in stainless steel tanks and comes from vines between 34 and 44 years old. It goes beautifully with spicy Asian cuisine.

The Lindner family, who own the Langmeil winery, have been working in the region for six generations. In producing the Langmeil ‘Live Wire’, they have once again created a remarkable taste experience.

Das Barossa ist die berühmteste Weinregion Australiens, bestehend aus dem Barossa Valley und dem Eden Valley. Es ist auch die Heimat einiger der ältesten Shiraz Weinberge der Welt.

Die Ursprünge im Barossa-Tal gehen auf die Zeit um 1840 zurück, als 500 preußische Familien emigrierten und sich hier ansiedelten. Sie brachten die Weinbautradition ins Barossa-Tal.

Auch die Entstehung der Langmeil Winery geht auf diese Zeit zurück, als der deutsche Schmied Christian Auricht nach Südaustralien kam. Die Familie bewirtschaftete das Anwesen und sie bauten die ersten Shiraz-Weinstöcke an. 1932 erstellte der Enkelsohn Theodor Hanisch die erste Weinkellerei. Nach seinem Tod führte dessen Sohn Arthur das Unternehmen weiter. Seit 2011 ist das Weingut im Besitz des Ehepaares Richard und Shirley Lindner, dessen Söhne Paul und James im Betrieb integriert sind. Die Langmeil Winery gehört heute zu den besten Weingütern Australiens.

Das Familienunternehmen Langmeil hat im Laufe der Zeit besondere Technologien und Filteranlagen entwickelt. So ist es möglich, das Optimale aus den Weinen herauszuholen. Das Sortiment der Langmeil Winery umfasst herausragende Rot- und Weißweine besonders aus Shiraz- und Riesling-Trauben.

Langmeil Jackman's Cabernet Sauvignon is a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, based on 35+ year old vines. The wine matured 24 month in 50% new and 50% seasoned French oak Hogsheads. These are some of the fundamental components of a wonderful wine from the famous Barossa-region in South-Australia.The wine has a deep crimson colour with purple hues. On the nose lifted blackcurrants and blueberry aroma entwine with biscuity French oak, chocolate and hints of black olive and liquorice. On the palate bright, juicy. Blue and red fruits flow onto the palate which is medium to full bodied. Jeder Wein, der den Namen Langmeil trägt, steht für das Streben der Familie nach Spitzenleistungen in Wein und Gemeinschaft.Nach der Gärung reift der Wein 23 Monate auf der Eiche. Davon wird 1/3 in neuen französischen und der Rest in gebrauchten Eichenfässern ausgebaut.Im Glas zeigt sich der hervorragende Rotwein in einem mittleren bis tiefroten Karminrot mit violetten Reflexen.
