Hess Allomi Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

The Hess Allomi Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley embodies elegance, power and aromatic diversity. The Hess Collection, family-run since 1978, stands for sustainable viticulture and exceptional quality. The Allomi Vineyard, located east of Howell Mountain, covers 210 hectares, divided into 35 parcels with six different Cabernet Sauvignon clones, which give this wine depth, complexity and an unmistakable spectrum of aromas.

In the glass, the Hess Allomi Cabernet reveals enticing aromas of blackcurrants, blackberries and subtle notes of vanilla. Juicy black and red cherries and raspberries unfold on the palate, complemented by elegant oak spice and delicate cocoa flavors. The lush, well-integrated tannins ensure a round, full-bodied wine with a harmonious structure.

The grapes ripen under optimal conditions, in well-drained loamy-clay soils, with even exposure to sunlight, which enables a perfect balance of fruit, acidity and tannins. Vinification and ageing are carried out with great care to preserve the aromatic diversity and finesse of Cabernet Sauvignon.

Enjoy the Hess Allomi Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon with grilled or roasted beef, braised lamb or matured hard cheese at a drinking temperature of 16-18 °C.

The Hess Collection Winery

Production area: Selected vineyards of Neviera and Casa Rossa, located in San Marzano district. The soil is mainly “terra rossa”, with a fine texture and generally a calcareous undergound with a few emerging rocks. The well-known redness of these soils is due to the presence of iron oxides. The climate is characterised by high temperatures all year round, very few rainfalls and a wide difference of temperature between night and day, which has a nice influence on the quality of grapes. This is the “classical” central area of d.o.c. ”Primitivo di Manduria” Harvest period: Third decade of August, first decade of September Vinification: Hand-harvested in small baskets. Maceration: 18 days with selected autochtonous yeasts. Thermo-controlled alcoholic fermentation at 24-26 °C Maturation: In French oak barrels for 6 months Tasting notes: Intense ruby red colour, wide and complex to the nose, fruity, with prunes, cherry jam aroma, with notes of tobacco, slightly spicy. Full-bodied wine, soft and rich in fine tannins, with notes of cocoa, coffee and vanilla in the end. Best served with: Red meat, game, savoury first courses. Meditation wine

Francis Ford Coppola Director’s Cut Zinfandel
Made with fruit grown entirely in the Dry Creek Valley appellation, where the combination of climate and location produces excellent Zinfandel fruit with intensely concentrated flavor.Half of the fruit was crushed whole, and the must (seeds and skins) was fermented in open-top fermentors for maximum color extraction and flavor enhancement. The wine was then aged in French oak barrels for twelve months, creating a wine with deep, rich layers of blueberries, raspberries, dark chocolate and mint, along with a lingering vanilla caramel finish.Delicious with soup, pork and spicey dishes.
