Chateau Ste. Michelle ist die älteste Weinkellerei im Staat Washington. Das 1934 gegründete Weingut der Region Chateau Ste. Michelle kombiniert erfolgreich traditionelle Weinbereitung mit innovativen 'Neue-Welt'-Methoden. Das Ergebnis sind außergewöhnliche Weine und Ste. Michelle ist heute der größte Riesling Produzent weltweit. Während die Rotweine in der River Ridge Winery, im Süden des Columbia Valleys angebaut werden, findet man die Produktion der Weißweine in Woodinville, 15 Meilen nordöstlich von Seattle. Chateau Ste. Michelle produziert insgesamt zwei Millionen Flaschen an Chardonnay, Cabernet, Merlot und Riesling und pflegt in der Weinbereitung erfolgreiche Partnerschaften. Ein erfolgreiches Produkt einer dieser Partnerschaften ist der Eroica Riesling mit dem Moselweingut Ernst Loosen.

So wonderfully balanced wines develop with a beautiful minerality and acidity.The Wente Morning Fog Chardonnay is a blend of Chardonnay and Gewürztraminer. On the nose it offers invigorating aromas of apples and tropical fruits, which are wonderfully complemented by flavors of vanilla and toast. On the palate, full-bodied and with nice acidity.The fresh, crisp white wine was aged for five months to 50% in American oak and to 50% in stainless steel tanks to emphasize the natural fruit flavors. The Chateau Ste. Michelle Cabernet Sauvignon from the Columbia Valley has a dark, dense ruby red color with black reflections. Aromas of ripe blackberries and prunes on the nose. There are also spicy notes of cloves, sweet tobacco and light smoky aromas reminiscent of a freshly filled red wine barrel.The palate reveals a strong, juicy structure and the fruit of the Cabernet, combined with fine tannins, is complemented by beautifully integrated oak aromas. After destemming, the Cabernet Sauvignon fermented for eight days with the addition of pure yeasts. The mash was flooded twice a day and after a gentle pressing, the wine matured for 16 months in French and American oak (32% new).Drink the Chateau Ste. Michelle Cabernet Sauvignon with grilled dishes, fillet of beef and pasta.

Der trockene Rotwein aus den USA verführt mit süßer, dunkelwürziger Beerenfrucht, feinen Röstnoten und einem Hauch von Vanille. Vollreife Trauben, die lange Fassreife und das seidige Tannin verleihen ihm die runde, samtweiche Fülle, die den Wein wunderschön zugänglich macht.Die Trauben wurden während der warmen Tagesstunden gelesen, um eine rasche Gärung auszulösen, danach gemahlen und 7-8 Tage lang vergoren. Zweimal täglich wurde die Maische mit etwa 80% des Mostes überflutet, um den Trauben ein Maximum an Farbe und Fruchtaromen zu entziehen und so den saftig konzentrierten Charakter des Syrah deutlich hervorzubringen.Trinken Sie den Chateau Ste. Michelle Syrah zu gegrilltem Lachs und Rindfleisch mit mediterranen Kräutern oder würzigem Käse!
