This red wine from the Ribera del Duero region combines several distinctive qualities that are sure to impress wine connoisseurs. The Cyclo from the Finca Torremilanos winery comes from vines, some of which are over 80 years old. The grapes for this Spanish red wine grow in vineyards at an elevation of 1,000 meters. The significant temperature differences between day and night allow the grapes to ripen with exceptional aroma.
In addition, the Torremilanos Cyclo aged for more than 20 months in French oak barriques. The barrels were crafted in the on-site cooperage of the Peñalba Lopez family, the owners of the winery. Cyclo - everything is part of nature’s cycle. And Finca Torremilanos is committed to intervening in this cycle only very sparingly.
The result is the Torremilanos Cyclo, an outstanding creation made from 96% Tempranillo, 3% Garnacha, and 1% Albillo. In the glass, it displays a deep purple color with violet highlights. The bouquet is wonderfully intense, with notes of black and blue berries as well as hints of chocolate, licorice, and mocha beans. On the palate, this Spanish red wine offers a symphony of flavors that is hard to beat in terms of intensity and complexity. Aromas of blackberries, violets, and tobacco, along with black berries and pomegranate, create a fascinating taste experience. Added to this are the wonderfully integrated, silky tannins and the impressive depth of this Tempranillo from northern Spain.
Enjoy the Torremilanos Cyclo at a serving temperature of 15 to 17 degrees. This Tempranillo from the Ribera del Duero region can continue to age in the bottle until the end of the 2030s. This red wine pairs well with a beef tenderloin or a lamb chop.
