The grapes for the Armas de Guerra Mencia Tinto come from the autochthonous Mencia vines that are cultivated mainly in northwestern Spain in the Bierzo region, amongst others. After pressing, the grapes were aged in stainless steel tanks for 20 days. This wine, in which freshness and fruitiness predominate, can be enjoyed young. The Armas de Guerra Mencia Tinto is cherry-red in the glass, with deep purple glints. The nose is dominated by aromas of red and black fruit. The intense bouquet is complemented by earthy notes and a hint of balsamico. The Armas de Guerra Mencia Tinto is harmonious and clear on the palate. Its clean and pleasant finish is accompanied by subtle floral notes.

This is an easy-drinking wine, uncomplicated and flavourful.

This Crianza comes from the Bierzo region and is made from 100% Mencia grapes, an autochthonous grape variety from northwestern Spain. In recent years, more and more wonderfully elegant wines have been produced in this emerging region, one of which is the Armas de Guerra Mencia Crianza. The grapes for this wine come from bush vines that are between 65 and 85 years old and grow mainly on clay and slate soils. The vineyards are situated about 450 to 600 metres above sea level. Harvesting is done by hand.
