Die dunkle, tiefrote Farbe des Constantia Uitsig Red Horizon lässt schon erahnen, dass dieser südafrikanische Rotwein eine eindrucksvolle Intensität besitzt. Der reinsortige Shiraz (Syrah) aus Constantia verführt mit einem herrlich komplexen Bouquet. Es vereint üppige Noten von schwarzem Pfeffer und Veilchen mit fruchtigen Tönen von Pflaumen und Schwarzkirschen. Dazu kommen wunderbar harmonierende Eichennoten.

Am Gaumen ist der Constantia Uitsig Red Horizon trocken und intensiv aromatisch. Vor allem die Aromen dunkler Früchte dominieren. Sie ergeben mit den präsenten Tanninen ein bemerkenswertes Zusammenspiel.

Delheim Merlot
Delheim Merlot
The Delheim Merlot grapes come from vines up to 20 years old from a vineyard called Peperboom Vineyard. The Peperboom, which means pepper tree or pepper bush, was originally planted here. The grapes were harvested in two stages in order to achieve the maximum concentration of tannins and color. Fermentation was carried out in stainless steel tanks using selected yeast strains. The temperature during the fermentation process was between 25 and 28 degrees Celsius. The juice was then stored on the skins for a further 18 days and then matured for 12 months in French oak barrels.Notes of tobacco, red fruits with cloves and cinnamon are clearly recognizable on the nose. The Delheim Merlot is an elegant wine with a subtle structure and silky tannins. Full-bodied on the palate with an unusual freshness reminiscent of blueberry and plum flavors.Ageing in the bottle for 3 to 4 years allows the wine to reach optimum maturity. Certainly a delight with roast chicken or mushroom soup.
