In einem dunklen Rubinrot präsentiert sich der Allesverloren Fine Old Vintage 2016 im Glas. Der Süßwein vom Weingut in Swartland duftet anregend nach Honig, schwarzen Johannisbeeren, Schwarzkirschen und Geißblatt sowie süßlichen Gewürzen, die an Weihnachten erinnern.

Am Gaumen mit einer wunderbaren Ausgewogenheit von Säure und Alkohol. Das Aromenspiel des Fine Old Vintage von Allesverloren zieht in seinen Bann. Aromen von kandierten Orangenschalen, einem delikaten Früchtekompott sowie Nuancen von dunkler Schokolade harmonieren perfekt. Herrlich weich, mit einem lang nachklingenden Finale.

Malu Lambert verleiht diesem Likörwein im Port-Stil 4 von 5 Sternen in John Platter’s Wine Guide, Südafrikas Wegweiser in der Weinwelt. Lambert formuliert: „Veilchenduftender ‚Port‘ aus 5 traditionellen Sorten, 18 Monate in meist abgelagerter Eiche. 2016 lebhafte Mischung aus frischen roten Früchten und getrockneten Feigen, mit Schokolade und Gewürzen bestäubt. Wärmend, aber 21,5% Alk. im Gleichgewicht mit klarer Säure & 126 g/L Zucker.“

Allesverloren Shiraz
The vines for the Allesverloren Shiraz grow on soils that are heavily interspersed with slate and clay. The vineyards are situated on the south-eastern slopes of the Kastelberg Mountains in the wine-growing region of Swartland.The wine is a deep red in the glass with a garnet-red rim. Its bouquet is redolent of plums, blackberries and black pepper, along with subtle nuances of tobacco. Due to its 15 months of ageing in small wooden casks, the Allesverloren Shiraz is full-bodied on the palate, showing spicy wood aromas. A balanced tannin structure as well as rich fruit aromas make this wine a genuine taste experience.Enjoy the Allesverloren Shiraz with veal or hearty poultry dishes.

The grapes for the Allesverloren Chenin Blanc come from vineyards that are located more than 300 metres above sea level. The vineyards are exposed to the northwest and southeast, thus benefitting from optimal sunshine and giving the wine its special complexity and an enormous fullness. The wine has a clear, brilliant colour with light green glints. On the nose, it offers very fine nuances of coal, complemented by aromas of juicy apples and hints of lime.The Allesverloren Chenin Blanc is well-balanced, with restrained acidity. Nevertheless, it is lively, fresh and soft on the palate. The ripe notes of stone fruit particularly underscore this taste experience. We recommend serving this wine with light chicken dishes, summer salads or seafood.

Production area: Selected vineyards of Neviera and Casa Rossa, located in San Marzano district. The soil is mainly “terra rossa”, with a fine texture and generally a calcareous undergound with a few emerging rocks. The well-known redness of these soils is due to the presence of iron oxides. The climate is characterised by high temperatures all year round, very few rainfalls and a wide difference of temperature between night and day, which has a nice influence on the quality of grapes. This is the “classical” central area of d.o.c. ”Primitivo di Manduria” Harvest period: Third decade of August, first decade of September Vinification: Hand-harvested in small baskets.
