The Wine Advocate states: “The bouquet is redolent of wild berries, cherries, dried raspberries and spices.” On the palate, this wine from Tuscany is well-structured, with soft, ripe tannins which harmonize perfectly with the oak aromas stemming from the long ageing in oak casks. The wine shows a finish offering lovely nuances of sour cherries.The Col d'Orcia Brunello di Montalcino DOCG is the result of a meticulous selection of Sangiovese grapes harvested by hand. This red wine matured for three years in Slovenian and French oak casks, and was further refined while aging for another 12 months in the bottle. Robert Parker rightly awards this exceptional creation more than 90 points.
