Als eine sichere Bank kann man wohl den Prunotto Barolo bezeichnen, schafft es der Wein doch seit Jahren eine kontinuierlich, außergewöhnliche Qualität in die Flasche zu bringen.

Die Farbe dieses Rotweins aus dem Piemont ist granatrot. In der Nase ein feines Spiel von Beerennoten, Veilchen und Gewürzen, ergänzt um einen intensiven und komplexen Duft nach Rosenblättern. Am Gaumen ist der Prunotto Barolo wunderbar saftig und mit fein geschliffenen Tanninen. Eine stabile Säure trägt zu einer sehr guten Balance bei. Der Ausbau für 18 Monate in unterschiedlich großen Eichenfässern prägt unter anderem auch den weichen langanhaltenden Abgang.

Der Prunotto Barolo passt gut zu Wildgerichten, Steaks oder Fleischgerichten mit dunklen Saucen.

This red wine is made from a selection of special cru sites such as La Volta near Barolo, Ravera near Novello, Scarrone and Montanello near Castiglione Falletto, Bussia, Monforte and Annunziata near La Morra. The soils of calcareous clay marl, sand and sandstone give this Nebbiolo wine an unmistakable elegance and aromatic complexity.In the glass, the Vite Colte Barolo de Comune presents the Barolo Essenze DOCG in an intense ruby red with garnet tones. The nose is exceptionally complex, with notes of violets, tar, vanilla and a fine balsamic undertone. On the palate, the "Essenze" is dry, full-bodied and powerful, with a great structure and a long, elegant finish that reveals ripe black and red fruits.This outstanding red wine matures in oak barrels and unfolds its full aromatic diversity at a drinking temperature of 16-18 °C.
