This Grauburgunder (Pinot Gris) shows a bouquet uniting notes of almond blossom and apricot. The white wine from the Palatinate region is pleasantly soft on the palate. It has a moderate acidity, yet is lean and lively. Furthermore, the Studier Grauburgunder has a mineral note and is earthy and expressive without being powerful. This wine is an excellent fresh Grauburgunder with clear fruit flavours and a lovely accompaniment to roasted and grilled meat, spicy vegetable dishes and strong cheeses such as Emmentaler, Appenzeller and Comté. It is a beautiful representative of the Palatinate viticulture as produced by the Studier estate.

Thomas Hensel is one of 20 wineries in Bad Dürkheim. His 17-hectare vineyard is located next to the local "airport" (airfield). Thomas is 35 years young, ambitious, energetic and courageous enough to be innovative. Classic Burgundy with notes of fresh leaves, hazelnuts and a hint of vanilla.
