La Villette Grenache Syrah Mourvedre VdF

La Villette Grenache Syrah Mourvedre is a creation from the classic Mediterranean grape varieties Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. After separate fermentation and maturation in French and American oak barrels, the perfect blend is produced, which matures for a further few months in oak barrels before bottling.

The fruity blend offers intense aromas of blackcurrant, plum and red fruit with notes of cocoa and spice. On the palate, the rich and powerful red wine reveals aromas of dark fruits and licorice, accompanied by velvety tannins. The dry cuvée from France is powerful with a dense texture and a finish with good length.

Serve this red blend at a drinking temperature of 16-18 °C with grilled red meat, spicy and savory dishes, pasta dishes or mature cheese.

The Saint-Roch Sélections Parcellaires Rouge is a blend of Shiraz (Syrah) and Grenache noir. The wine has a nice, dark color. On the nose aromas of black fruit, underlaid with a fine spiciness. Balanced on the palate and wonderfully refreshing. The Wine Advocate writes: “I struggle to think of another portfolio that encompasses anywhere close to this level of value, and the average quality to price for these wines is just hard to believe.” Enjoy a remarkable red wine from the growing area of Maury in the French Languedoc-Roussillon northwest of Perpignan.
