Ségla is the second wine from the renowned Château Rauzan-Ségla in Margaux. In the last two decades, Rauzan-Ségla has almost always been one of the top trio in the Margaux appellation, alongside the appellation's namesake and Château Palmer.
The vintage was an extraordinarily good one, one speaks here of a vintage of the century. This is particularly true of Margaux, where the wines show a wonderful balance between fruit and the finesse typical of the appellation.
The cuvée consists of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc.
The Ségla is now at the height of drinking maturity and impresses with its beautiful black berries, minerality, silky tannins and spicy notes. The finish is long and elegant.
A great wine for solo enjoyment, as well as for food pairing with pasta, game, roasts and not too spicy cheeses.
