Print product information sheet

Caliterra Tributo Cabernet Sauvignon
A very deep attractive ruby red colour shows a young wine at the moment of its release. On the nose the wine is intense, but elegant, with acid perfume notes probably coming from the cherry aromas that also outstand. Barrel scents emphasize more than usual, but with a couple of months of bottle ageing the wine will be completely integrated. On the palate, very tasty notes and complex aromas enhance, although in a soft and elegant way. A long after tasting with a pleasant end.

Graham Beck Méthode Cap Classique (MCC) Brut
An all round crowd pleaser and extremely versatile bubbly crafted from a selection of the classic MCC varieties, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Both varietals were hand-picked: Chardonnay at 18-19.5°B for fruit and elegance and Pinot Noir at 18.5-20°B for complexity and length of flavour. In the cellar whole bunch pressing ensures fractional recovery. After settling of the juice the two varieties are fermented separately. They are then cross-blended along with reserve wine if necessary, bottled and left for 15 to 18 months yeast contact time before disgorgement. Light yeasty aromas and secondary tones of limey fresh fruit on the nose with rich creamy complexity on the palate. The exceptionally fine mousse contributes freshness and finesse.

Spier Seaward Shiraz
The grapes for the Seaward Shiraz come from vines planted on a vertical trellis system that are between 14 and 19 years old. The resulting foliage management thus controls the exposure of the grapes to the sun and supports steady, uniform ripening. The alcoholic fermentation was carried out in stainless steel tanks. Subsequently, the wine matured for about 14 months in French oak casks, of which 20% were first-fill and the rest were second- and third-fill barrels. The bright ruby-red wine has a marvellous bouquet offering notes of mulberries, violets and plums, along with discreet nuances of allspice. The red wine from South Africa is full-bodied on the palate, with a good length, soft tannins and a fruity finish. The Spier Seaward Shiraz is a lovely accompaniment to grilled red meat with vegetables, tapas, pasta or vegetarian moussaka. This wine is vegan-friendly.

Delheim Merlot
The grapes for the Delheim Merlot come from vines that are almost 20 years old, located in the Peperboom vineyard. The ‘Peperboom’ (‘pepper plant’ in English) was originally cultivated here. The harvest was carried out in a two-step selection in order to achieve the maximum concentration of tannins and colour. The wine was fermented with selected yeasts in stainless steel tanks at temperatures between 77° and 82.4° F. Subsequently, the wine remained in contact with the skins for another 18 days and then aged for 15 months in French oak casks, of which 20% were new barrels. Its bouquet offers noticeable aromas of tobacco, red fruit, cloves and cinnamon. On the palate, the Delheim Merlot is elegant, with a subtle structure and silky tannins. It is full-bodied, showing a remarkable freshness recalling aromas of bilberries and plums. Another three to four years of ageing in the bottle will further enhance the wine’s qualities and contribute to its optimal stage of maturity. The Delheim Merlot is definitely a genuine delight to enjoy with fried chicken or mushroom soup.
