Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc give this red wine from Chile its sophistication and powerful tannins, while Carménère and Syrah (Shiraz) give the wine a fine spiciness and density as well as a beautiful body. The multi-faceted bouquet combines notes of ripe blackberries, black cherries and blackcurrants with nuances of roasted aromas, coffee and pepper. On the palate, the Escudo Rojo Gran Reserva is lush, powerful and juicy, with an elegant tannin structure.

Lush, powerful wines with a clear texture and velvety tannins are real taste sensations. Added to this is the wonderful fruitiness.

Half of the Escudo Rojo matures for 12 months in oak barrels that are one year old. Enjoy this red wine from the Valle Central with duck or lamb with rosemary and chocolate cake.
