Ein Geburtstagsgrappa wie er im Buche steht! Zum hundertjährigen Jubiläum hat die Destillerie Marcati einen ganz besonderen Grappa aufgelegt. Bereits 1919 startete die Familie Marcati mit der Produktion von Likören und Spirituosen, um heute in der 3. und 4. Generation weltweit ihre Produkte zu vertreiben. Limitiert und edel verpackt wurde dieser Grappa aus dem Trester der Rebsorten Corvina und Rondinella gebrannt. Diese Rebsorten werden für die Produktion von Amarone Weinen verwendet und geben dem Grappa somit seinen Namen. Bernsteinfarbig und mild im Geschmack duftet der 100 Marcati Grappa di Amarone Riserva Centenario wunderbar aromatisch. Die Reifung erfolgte für 18 Monate in kleinen Eichenfässern. Nicht nur für Hundertjährige geeignet, lässt sich mit diesem ausgewöhnlichen Grappa Eindruck bei jeder Gelegenheit erzielen.

19 Crimes "The Uprising" Red

‘The Uprising’ is a wine that was aged for 30 days in rum barrels and is a tribute to Australia’s Rum Rebellion of 1808. As the rum trade was hindered by the government at that time, citizens and soldiers joined together to bring down the government. The ageing in rum barrels gives this wine its dark, jammy body and a finish characterised by notes of warm brown sugar.The grapes for the 19 Crimes ‘The Uprising’ come from selected vineyards that are renowned for their spice and concentration, giving the wine its great intensity and sensational flavour. In the 2019 vintage, the Shiraz grape variety is predominant, giving the wine light notes of raspberries and a fine tannin structure. The Cabernet Sauvignon grapes produce lovely blackberry aromas and ensure fullness and structure on the palate. The ‘The Uprising’ is rounded off by a smaller percentage of Grenache, giving the wine its spice and sweet fruitiness. On the nose, the wine offers intense notes of mocha, caramel and baking flavours.Like all wines of the 19 crimes line, ‘The Uprising’ has a history of its own:The man depicted on the label was a member of the Fenian brotherhood from Skibbereen in Ireland who played a major role in the Fenian movement right from the beginning. In 1864, he was arrested, found guilty, sentenced to ten years in prison and deported to Australia.

Der The Uprising aus der Serie 19 Crimes ist jetzt auch als Weißwein erhältlich. Es handelt sich um einen 100% Chardonnay, der zu 20% in Whiskyfässern reifte. Eine wirklich außergewöhnliche und interessante Variante Wein zu veredeln. Der restliche Wein reifte in französischer und amerikanischer Eiche. Der Wein hat eine helle blassgoldene Farbe. In der Nase zeigen sich reiche Aromen von Salbei, Zitrusfrucht und torfigen Gewürzen. Am Gaumen präsentiert sich der 19 Crimes The Uprising Chard wunderbar rund und zugänglich. Er schmeckt nach reifem Pfirsich und Nektarine, ergänzt um eine anhaltende Vanillenote und dezenter Eiche.Wie auch die Kriminellen um 1800 in Australien, zeigen sich die Weinmacher der 19 Crimes Serie immer wieder sehr kreativ.
