This traditional wine is pure Tuscany: The Villa Antinori Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva is a blend of mostly Sangiovese and smaller amount of Cabernet. The Antinori wine offers a diverse bouquet with notes of blackberries and blueberries. There are also notes of oak and nice spicy notes, especially clove, and an aromatic finish.On the palate, this wine is invogorating from the start. The tannins are supple and yet noticeable. The finish of the Villa Antinori Chianti Classico DOCG Riservais fruity, and the oak notes are long lasting. 60% of the wine was aged in large oak barrels. The remaining shares matured in French and Hungarian barriques (once or twice used). In addition, a smaller proportion of new barrels was used.The heat wave in August and September was a real challenge for the Antinori-winemakers. Nevertheless, this Antinori wine is excellent again. Enjoy this premium product from Tuscany to pasta dishes from the oven or other traditional Italian dishes.

Zenato Bardolino Rosso DOC 2024

In brillantem Rubinrot erstrahlt der Zenato Bardolino Rosso DOC im Glas, während eine blumig-fruchtige Note den Geruchssinn umschmeichelt. Sie riechen die Aromen von Brombeeren, Schwarzkirschen und den Duft einer Blumenwiese. Die Kirschnote kommt anschließend am Gaumen voll zur Geltung.Seinen besonderen Charakter verdankt dieser Wein der Mischung aus Corvina-, Rondinella- und Sangiovese-Trauben, wobei Corvina mit einem Anteil von 65 % die Hauptrolle spielt.Sie genießen diesen nicht allzu schweren Rotwein bei einer Temperatur von 14 bis 16 °C. Als kulinarischer Begleiter empfiehlt sich der Zenato Bardolino Rosso DOC aus Venetien, der südlich des Gardasees gekeltert wird, vor allem zu leichter Küche.

Zenato Ripassa della Valpolicella DOC 0,375 l halbe Flasche 2021

Zenato gives the name “Ripassa” to this wine, which shares many of the characteristics of our Amarone.As soon as the fermentation is completed of the dried grapes for the Amarone, selected lots of Valpolicella are then “re-passed” on the Amarone pomace, thus initiating a second fermentation which increases slightly the alcoholic content and gives the wine deeper colour, increased extract, and more complex aromas.After six months’ bottle-ageing, the result is a rounded, velvet-textured wine with rich, complex aromas of berries and an impressively lengthy finish that seems to linger forever.Ripassa represents one of the most important milestones in Zenato’s winemaking evolution.

Zenato Valpolicella Superiore 0,375 l (Halbflasche) 2021

The Zenato Valpolicella is somewhat similar to the Bardolino; however, the Valpolicella is a little more powerful and shows a fuller body – it is simply of better quality. The wine consists of Corvina Veronese (responsible for the bouquet and the acidity), Rondinella (lots of sugar) and Sangiovese (gives the wine its elegance). This is a wine that can be enjoyed young, but another few years of ageing in the wine cellar will further enhance its qualities. For years, Valpolicella has been one of Italy’s most famous wines. Unfortunately, one can find many Valpolicella wines of poor quality on the market but fortunately, we don’t have to worry about this as far as Zenato wines are concerned, as Zenato produces only high-quality wines.
