Grenache and Shiraz come together in the Parallèle 45 Rouge from the Côtes du Rhône appellation. This traditional creation by winemaker Paul Jaboulet Aîné offers aromas of red currants, a beautiful spiciness and vanilla notes. The French red wine is dry on the palate, with a medium body, velvety tannins and a long, spicy finish. The Parallèle 45 Rouge, from vineyards in the southern Rhône valley at 45 degrees latitude, comes from 25-year-old vines. A wonderfully fruity wine matured in stainless steel tanks, it is a fine accompaniment to grilled meat and cheese variations.
