This Cabernet Sauvignon from the Livermore Valley shows an intense bouquet hinting of ripe black cherries, juicy red plums and cassis, rounded off by fine nuances of mocha and a subtle spice. The Wente Southern Hills Cabernet Sauvignon is sumptuous and full-bodied on the palate, with defining, well-integrated tannins and a long, elegant finish.This Cabernet from the southern hills of the Livermore Valley matured for 16 months in both new and used French and Eastern European oak casks. In addition to Cabernet Sauvignon, the Californian Wente Vineyards estate unites smaller percentages of Petit Verdot, Petite Sirah, Malbec and Tempranillo to create this blend.
