Der Lugana von Don Lorenzo della Grillaia ist in seiner Klarheit und Stilistik einzigartig unter den vielen Lugana Weinen dieser Welt. Die Farbe funkelt kristallklar. Der Wein duftet herrlich nach Mango, frischen Blüten und knackig frischen Äpfeln. Schon der erste Schluck überzeugt mit großer Frische, Fülle und Länge. Gradlinig und mit schönem Körper umschließt der Wein die Zunge. Am Gaumen entwickelt der Don Lorenzo della Grillaia eine feine Aromatik, die von tropischen Früchten und einer gewissen Würze dominiert wird. Im Abgang zeigt sich eine leichte Mineralität.

Probieren Sie diesen tollen Lugana zu aller Art von Nudelgerichten oder zu einem Meeresfrüchtesalat. Solo sowieso ein echter Hochgenuss.

Es tummeln sich eine ganze Menge Weingüter südlich des Gardasees in unmittelbarer Nähe der Touristenhochburg Sirmione. Unter anderem Ca dei Frati, das wohl Bekannteste, aber auch kleine wie z.B. Sgreva oder Pilandro. Da eine wirkliche Neuentdeckung zu finden ist nicht einfach, aber Vineshop24 gelungen. Mit dem Weinbauern Lorenzo Fabiani, der etwa 54 Hektar bewirtschaftet, was schon für die Region eine namhafte Größe ist, haben wir einen Lugana Produzenten im Portfolio der außergewöhnliches bietet. Lorenzo ist ein gradliniger und in seinem Wirken konsequenter Mensch, wie es stärker wohl nicht geht. Er baut ausschließlich die Rebsorte Trebbiano an, aus der sein Lugana Wein vinifiziert wird. Kein Schnick Schnack, wie er es nennt, mit Reserva oder eine Mischung mit anderen Rebsorten. Ein Wein und basta. Was er selbst nicht an Wein verkaufen kann, liefert er seinen bekannten Nachbarn. Eine kleine Einschränkung verrät er dann doch, wenn schon das ein oder andere Glas getrunken ist. Er baut auch ein wenig Merlot an, aber diesen verkauft er exklusiv an nur einen Kunden. Wenn der Merlot nur annähernd so gut ist wie der Lugana kann man diesen Kunden nur beneiden.

There is a slight minerality on the finish.Try this great Lugana with all kinds of pasta dishes or a seafood salad. A real treat on its own anyway.

Der Cà dei Frati Brolettino Lugana besteht zu 100% aus der Rebsorte Turbiana, die auch unter dem Synonym Verdicchio Bianco bekannt ist. Es handelt sich dabei um eine Rebsorte, die erst spät, in der Regel Mitte bis Ende Oktober, geerntet wird. Das gibt dem daraus produziertem Weißwein eine hohe Alterungsfähigkeit und eine sehr gute Struktur. Die lange Reifezeit der Trauben bringt eine wunderbare Komplexität in den Wein.Die Nase des Cà'dei Frati Brolettino offenbart eine ganze Reihe von herrlichen Düften, die unter anderem reife Früchte, Pfirsich, Rosen- und Balsamico-Noten zeigt. Die bereits erwähnte Struktur wird begleitet von einer ausdrucksvollen Würze mit deutlicher, aber feiner Säure. Der Abgang ist klar und sauber. Der italienische Wein reifte für 10 Monate im Barriquefass.Der Cà dei Frati Brolettino ist ein trockener Wein und idealer Begleiter zu Pasta mit sahniger Sauce, Geflügel oder hellem Fleisch. Er ergänzt auch Hummer, Garnelen oder Langusten ganz wunderbar. Nicht zuletzt passt er zu dezenten Käsesorten.

The fruit is from the Podere Massoni vineyards, with 15- to 20-year-old vines and a very low average yield of 2.5 kg per vine. Harvest occurs somewhat late, towards mid-October. Winemaking is carried out with extreme care. The wine is fermented in barriques for 3 weeks, then matured in small new oak for 4 months, followed by 6 months in steel and 6 months in glass before release.The wine exhibits a lively light gold, then opens to a rich, multi-layered nose featuring nuances of blossoms, citrus fruit, and vanilla. A beautifully balanced mouth offers stunning richness, then continues through into a remarkably long, savoury finale.A few years cellaring will be amply rewarded.
