Schon im Namen steckt das besondere dieses Rieslings von Nik Weis. Der Nik Weis Schiefer Riesling stammt von Reben, die entweder auf Böden mit Devonschiefer, auch schwarzer Schiefer genannt, des Mosel-Gebietes oder auf Böden von der Saar mit rötlichen Schiefer stehen.

Wunderbar klar im Glas findet sich in der Nase schöne Zitrusfrucht und Noten reifer gelber Früchte. Dieser trockene Riesling zeigt eine unglaubliche Mineralität, die mit ihrem salzigen Touch das Terroir besonders zum Ausdruck bringt. Am Gaumen sticht der Geschmack nach Melone und Birne deutlich hervor. Eine spritzige Säure und eine angenehme Restsüße verleihen dem Nik Weis Schiefer Riesling eine schöne Komplexität. Im Abgang zeigt sich eine superb schöne Würze, die den veganen Wein lange nachhallen lässt. Ein rundum eleganter Wein.

Nik Weis Sankt Urbans-Hof Bockstein GG

Der Ockfener Bockstein ist eine Lage in einem Seitental der Saar. Diese Lage zeichnet sich durch besonders hohe Temperaturunterschiede zwischen Tag und Nacht aus, da am Tag praktisch kein Schatten die Trauben trifft. Der Boden besteht aus geröllartigen grauem Schiefer, was dem Wein eine unglaubliche Würze verleiht. Durch einen oberhalb des Weinbergs befindlichen Wald wird immer ausreichend Wasser gespeichert, sobald auch in trockenen Perioden eine optimale Versorgung der Reben sichergestellt ist. In der Nase viel Zitrusfrüchte und eine Menge an floralen Noten. Ergänzt durch Aromen von Flieder, Veilchen, Melone und einem Hauch mineralische Note. Der Gaumen ist der Weißwein cremig und weich mit moderater Säure. Die überreife Frucht tritt deutlich hervor und macht den Nik Weis Bockstein GG intensiv und elegant zu gleich. Der lange, feinwürzige Abgang wird unterstützt von einer zarten Süße.
