Robert Mondavi Winery

Robert Mondavi Chardonnay Napa Valley
A feast for the senses: Robert Mondavi Napa Valley Chardonnay offers clear, enticing fruity aromas of crisp apple, pear, ripe melon and fresh quince. These notes are finely intertwined with aromas of creme brulee, a beautiful minerality and hints of hazelnut and clove. The palate is pleasantly creamy, beautifully balanced with a refreshing acidity. 75% of the wine aged in French oak barrels (15% new oak). The palate, therefore, reveals a round, supple feeling of fullness. Also the persistent finish is full-bodied and elegant. Enjoy this 100 percent Chardonnay from the Napa Valley to oysters, fish dishes or dishes of Thai cuisine with coconut milk and lemongrass.

Stag’s Leap Artemis Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Winemaker Nicki Pruss wisely and thoughtfully selects the best grapes from the various Napa Valley vineyards and skillfully blends them with grapes from his own Fay vineyard in the Stag's Leap District to create this unique Cabernet Sauvignon blend: with the depth, structure and elegance of the winery's limited single-vineyard wines and at the same time characterized by the individual character of each Napa Valley vineyard, which enriches Artemis with so many, often the smallest facets. The grapes are fermented separately and the wines are then blended into the Artemis Final Blend. The Stag's Leap Artemis Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Artemis matures for 18 months in French oak barrels (55% new), is then bottled and aged for a further six months in the bottle before finally being released for sale.In the glass, Artemis is a deep, dense plum red with ruby highlights. The American red wine enchants with a classic Cabernet bouquet of juicy ripe blackcurrants, blackberries and black cherries, underlaid with earthy notes of moss and forest floor, leather, cedar, herbs (rosemary), licorice, mocha, vanilla and caramel. On the palate, the wine is powerful, intense and firmly structured, yet with the classic elegance of Stag's Leap. The individual and expressive Cabernet Sauvignon has a medium body and is long and harmoniously balanced on the finish, with a spicy aftertaste of blackcurrants, black tea leaves, mocha and licorice.Artemis, the Greek goddess of the hunt, lent her name to the Artemis Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon: the quintessence of selected grapes, sites and plots in the Napa Valley.

Chateau Ste. Michelle Cabernet Sauvignon
A „perfect” ripening season with full crop yields, and restrained sugar levels led to outstanding wines from Washington state’s Columbia Valley.Vintage delayed slightly by cool spring weather and a moderate summer, harvest began 10 days later than normal. Warm weather in August provided ideal ripening conditions for grapes across all varietals and harvest was quickly ramped up in order to obtain fruit at the optimum ripeness.Ripe grapes were destemmed and inoculated with various strains of yeast to maximize complexity. Gentle pumpovers during fermentation were used to extract colour and flavour and produce soft, supple tannins. Aged 16 months in American and French oak, 32% new.Delicious with bleu cheese, duck, beef, veal and dark chocolate.
