Der Kunde Zinfandel ist ein meisterhaftes Beispiel kalifornischer Weinbaukunst.Diesem Zinfandel wurde eine kleine Menge Malbec hinzugefügt, um noch mehr Körper und Komplexität zu erreichen. Hinzu kommt der Ausbau in französischen und amerikanischen Eichenfässern für 16 Monate, wobei 28% Neufässer verwendet werden. Das Ergebnis ist ein klassischer Zinfandel, von den Berghängen des Kunde Estates.In der Nase zeigt der Rotwein aus den USA den Duft von schwarzen Johannisbeeren, Pfeffer und Veilchen. Am Gaumen erfreuen uns Brombeeren, Pflaume und Zimt, die sich in einem langen Finish vereinen. Ein opulenter, reicher Wein.Dieser Zin passt gut zu gegrilltem Steak, Southern Barbeque-Pork, Pasta oder einer schönen Wurstplatte. Aber eigentlich ist er fast zu schade zum Food-pairing ...

This wine from Rombauer is a wonderful example of the qualities that a Californian Zinfandel can achieve. The dark purple-colored composition of Zinfandel and a very small proportion of Petite Sirah has a seductively intense aroma of blackberries, boysenberries, plums and cherries. Subliminal notes of vanilla and licorice as well as spicy aromas round off the exceptionally complex bouquet. On the palate, the Rombauer Zinfandel is velvety and fresh, with finely polished tannins and great length. the Zinfandel matured for 14 months in American and French oak barrels, with 10 percent new American barrels being used. The grapes come from vines in the Californian counties of El Dorado, Amador, Lake and Napa. They make a wonderful combination.Discover this Zinfandel with T-bone steak, lamb, a Wagyu burger, spare ribs or filet mignon. Also a perfect accompaniment to mature cheese and braised dishes.

Made with fruit grown entirely in the Dry Creek Valley appellation, where the combination of climate and location produces excellent Zinfandel fruit with intensely concentrated flavor.Half of the fruit was crushed whole, and the must (seeds and skins) was fermented in open-top fermentors for maximum color extraction and flavor enhancement.The wine was then aged in French oak barrels for twelve months, creating a wine with deep, rich layers of blueberries, raspberries, dark chocolate and mint, along with a lingering vanilla caramel finish.Delicious with soup, pork and spicey dishes.
