Bernardus Pinot Noir Santa Lucia Highlands

The Argiolas Iselis Nasco di Cagliari Bianco is a white wine made from the Sardinian Nasco grape variety, which hardly plays a role outside of the Italian Mediterranean island. If you want to get an authentic impression of the art of winegrowing in Sardinia, the creations of the Argiolas family winery are the perfect choice. Pure Sardinia - and an extraordinary feast for the senses. The bouquet of the shimmering straw-yellow white wine is impressively complex. It combines floral notes of yellow flowers, honeysuckle and broom with hints of tropical fruit. The rich bouquet is harmoniously rounded off with nuances of melon, musk and a hint of vanilla. On the palate, Argiolas Iselis Nasco di Cagliari Bianco is wonderfully fresh, soft and aromatic. The interplay of aromas includes notes of apricot, quince and bitter almonds, as well as nuances of marzipan. Full-bodied and with a creamy texture, this is a great taste experience that lingers for a long time. The name of the Nasco grape variety could come from the Latin "Muscus", which means musk. The extraordinary aroma of the grapes supports this interpretation. In order to bring out precisely these qualities of the grape variety, only a small proportion of the must for the Argiolas Iselis Nasco di Cagliari Bianco is vinified in small French oak barrels.Discover this unmistakable ambassador of Sardinian white wines at a drinking temperature of 10 to 12 degrees. The Nasco di Cagliari goes wonderfully with fish starters, ravioli with grated Parmesan or pasta with prawns. If you want to get to know Sardinian cuisine, you can also serve Culurgiones di patate, Sardinian potato ravioli, with this great white wine.

Barista Pinotage
A South African taste experience of intense, rich coffee and chocolate aromas with nuances of ripe mulberries, plums and cherries. This dry red wine is also the perfect accompaniment to food. It pairs very well with dark meat, creamy casseroles and even intense desserts. Also a great accompaniment to blue cheese or Belgian chocolate. Vinified ready to drink from the start for immediate enjoyment. We recommend 18 °C as the ideal drinking temperature. The Barista Pinotage from the Val De Vie vineyard is made from 100% Pinotage grapes from the Robertson region. The grapes were picked at optimum ripeness in mid-February and divided into different batches and treated in different ways.Certain batches were treated by short heating to optimize color and then returned to the skins for alcoholic fermentation. Other batches were pasteurized and immediately fermented on oak to achieve the dark, rich coffee flavors. Still other batches were fermented conventionally on the skins and pumped over several times during alcoholic fermentation and racked into French oak to complete fermentation. All batches were stabilized by malolactic fermentation in French oak.

Barista Black
Barista Black is a red wine from South Africa made from 100% Pinotage grapes. The Pinotage grape variety is based on a new variety developed by Abraham Isak Perold at the University of Stellenbosch in 1925. It is a cross between Pinot Noir (Pinot Noir) and Cinsault. The Barista Black shows all the richness of this grape. A Pinotage that could not be more intense. The grapes come from the best vineyards in the Western Cape. The wine was fermented in a combination of stainless steel and concrete tanks with two gentle pumpings per day. It was then matured for 16 months in oak barrels, with 20% of the wine aged in new French barriques. The Barista Black has a wonderful aroma of plums, cherries and mulberries with hints of warm baking spices. On the palate, the wine has a juicy fruit core and good concentration with velvety tannins and some oak complexity. The finish is long, smooth and pleasantly dry. This full-bodied wine goes well with dark braised shoulder of lamb on long grain rice with red cabbage and bacon kimchi or roast duck breast and mixed leaf salad and potato wedges.

Argiolas Iselis Monica di Sardegna Superiore DOC
Intense fruity notes of cherries, blueberries, plums and blackberries characterize the bouquet of the Argiolas Iselis Monica di Sardegna Superiore. There are also wonderfully harmonious notes of pepper, cinnamon and vanilla from the ageing in wood. The Argiolas family winery knows how to fully develop the qualities of typical Sardinian grape varieties. This is also the case with this creation, in which the Monica Nera, an indigenous Sardinian grape variety, takes center stage. The ruby red wine is soft and velvety on the palate. Ripe, sweetish tannins are noticeable, along with a great interplay of aromas (black fruits, spices again and a hint of vanilla). Perfect balance and a finish that lingers. This blend with the typical Sardinian grape varieties Monica and - in addition - Carignano and Bovale Sardo, matured for around 12 months in French barrique barrels. The interplay of fruit and wood is impressive. High quality at affordable prices: Once again, Argiolas has fully lived up to its claim.Enjoy the Argiolas Iselis Monica di Sardegna Superiore at a drinking temperature of 15 to 18 degrees. This red wine from Sardinia goes wonderfully with toasted bread with tapenade (an olive paste from southern French cuisine) and pieces of Parmesan. It also pairs well with a simple piece of medium-aged Sardinian pecorino. Also a great choice with a traditional Sardinian pasta dish with sauce or a grilled lamb chop.
