The Piedemonte Rosado DO has a deep red raspberry color and is made from the Garnacha grape variety. It is juicy and fruity, with aromas of ripe strawberries and red fruit jelly. A lively acidity gives it freshness and animation.

It is an excellent accompaniment to starters such as antipasti misti or tapas, as well as to pasta dishes with light sauces, poultry and white meat. A pleasant rosé that is suitable for many occasions!

Piedemonte ist eine ganz junge Bodega. Sie wurde 1993 von einigen Familien gegründet, die um Olte, also mitten im Zentrum der Weinregion Navarra Weinberge haben.

Piedemonte heißt ?am Fuß der Berge?, denn die Bodega liegt dort, wo die weite Flusslandschaft des Ebro im Norden in die Berge übergeht.

Die Bodega ist technisch sehr gut ausgestattet. Es ist beeindruckend zu sehen, wie hier in allen Bereichen professionell gearbeitet und kompromisslos auf Qualität gesetzt wird. Piedemonte ist ein Zentrum der Weinforschung. Zusammen mit der benachbarten Weinbauforschungsgesellschaft der Region Navarra hat Piedemonte ein Lagenkataster für alle seine Weinberge entwickelt. Für jede Lage ist Bodenart, Qualität und Klima beschrieben. Außerdem hat Piedemonte eine der modernsten Anlagen zur Analyse der Trauben während der Ernte entwickelt.

Angesichts dieser Leistungen verwundert es nicht, dass die Weine von Piedemonte vielfach prämiert und hoch bewertet wurden. Der wichtige spanische Weinführer Guía de Oro stuft die Bodega Piedemonte unter die zehn besten spanischen Bodegas ein. Der Guia Peñín 2007 verlieh allen Weinen von Piedemonte die Höchstnote für bestes Preis/Genussverhältnis. Damit ist die Bodega Piedemonte das einzige Weingut Spaniens, das diese Auszeichnung für alle eingereichten Weine bekam.
