Hacienda Monasterio Reserva DO - Deep Ribera del Duero with elegance and power

The world knows a few outstanding winemakers, such as the Dane Peter Sissek. When the best terroir and a first-class oenologist come together, the result is top wines, as in the case of the Hacienda Monasterio Reserva. Peter Sissek, who became world-famous with his Pingus wine, has been working for Hacienda Monastrio since the winery started making wine. He not only shaped the work in the cellar, but also took care of the biodynamic cultivation of the grapes from the very beginning. The Hacienda Monasterio Reserva is made from 80% Tinto Fino (Tempranillo), the predominant grape variety in the Ribera del Duero, and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. The red wine spends almost two years in French oak.

In the glass, the Reserva from Hacienda Monasterio presents itself in a deep dark red, tending towards violet at the edges. This red wine has an intense aroma of black fruit. Fine roasted aromas and spicy notes accompany the impression on the nose. Complexity and concentrated fruit characterize the mouthfeel. An in-depth minerality is carried by the beautifully integrated tannins. A wine full of elegance and finesse that reflects the incomparable potential of the Ribera del Duero region. You will enjoy this wine for a long time.

This Penfolds Bin 28 Shiraz is a deep brick-red in colour. Initially, the wine offers sumptuous, warm and spicy Shiraz aromas such as cloves, cinnamon, coriander, juicy plums and cherries. Later, it shows notes of liquorice and fine nuances of vanilla.This wine is medium-bodied and rich in taste, showing juicy aromas of plums, cherries and berries, which mingle with notes of dark chocolate, mocha and spices.The wine matured for 12 months in repeatedly used American oak casks.The Penfolds Bin 28 is a prime example of Australian Shiraz wines, made of grapes which ripened at a pleasant warmth. It is robust and offers opulent, juicy aromas, without showing dominant notes of new oak or an excessive alcohol content. This Shiraz was produced for the first time in 1962 and owed its name ‘Kalimna’ to the renowned vineyard located in the Barossa Valley. Penfolds acquired this vineyard in 1945, from whose grapes the wine was initially solely made.Today, the Bin 28 is a real Penfolds - a multi-regional and multi-vineyard blend, which means that this wine is made from vines from different regions and vineyards. It shows clearly defined, ripe fruit in its youth, concentration and significant fruit sweetness, with minimal wood influence.
