The Vilafonté Series C is a classic Bordeaux blend from South Africa. A red wine of the highest quality that represents the perfect work of the Vilafonté crew. Not many wines of this type make it to the wine Olympics, and the Vilafonté Series C is one of them.

In the glass, it presents itself with a dark red-black color that fades to a light ruby-red rim. The nose is spoiled by a multi-layered palette of aromas. Notes of incense and violet blossom are surrounded by delicious black plum, fresh blackcurrant and boysenberry. After some time in the glass, subtle hints of sandalwood, fine tobacco and juicy juniper emerge. The carefully selected Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec grapes are vinified with the utmost care to perfectly preserve their unique aromas and complex structure. On the palate, the Vilafonté Series C is wonderfully lush with silky tannins. The intense fruit adds great dimension to this elegant and balanced red wine.

The Vilafonté Series C can be enjoyed very well when young, but develops additional complexity and length as it matures in the bottle.

We recommend decanting the wine at least 2 hours before drinking.

If you want to taste one of the absolute top wines from South Africa, De Toren Fusion V is a must. The V stands for the 5 Bordeaux grape varieties used in the wine. The quality is on a par with the great wines from Bordeaux.After hand-picking and selecting the grapes, a long, gentle fermentation followed. Maturation took place over a period of 12 months in 50% new and 50% second-fill barrels. Barrels of 225 liters were used. (90% French and 10% American) In the glass a clear violet with a slight sparkle. The nose is characterized by blueberry, cedar, black cherry, dark chocolate and a hint of fennel. On the palate, De Toren Fusion V offers a silky fullness with a hint of sweet fruit. Im Glas ein heller, lebendiger Platin-Farbton mit grüner Tönung. Komplexes Bouquet von Zitronengras, Limetten, Hafermehl, ausdrucksstarker Mineralität.Am Gaumen ist der südafrikanische Wein von mittlerem Körper, aber mit klarer Säure, Aromen von Kalk, Marzipan, cremige ausgedehnte Eichen-, Apfel- und Birnbaum-Merkmale. Durch eine reine, lineare mineralische Note ergibt sich ein sauberer und langer Abgang.Von Hand gepflückt, als gesamte Partie gepresst und sofort in 300 Liter Fässer aus französischer Eiche gefüllt. Dabei wurden 60% neue Fässer und 40% Fässer, die schon bereits einmal befüllt waren, verwendet. Die Gärung fand in Eiche statt, teils als natürliche und teils als malolaktische Gärung. Die Reifung erfolgte für 12 Monate in Eichenfässern mit gelegentlichem Rühren vor dem Abfüllen in Flaschen.Dieser Weißwein aus der Region Stellenbosch passt perfekt zu gegrilltem Fisch, weißem und rotem Fleisch.
