Print product information sheet

This lovely blend, consisting mainly of Cabernet Sauvignon and a smaller percentage of Petit Verdot, is redolent of delicious black berries, cherries, blueberries, coffee and cedar. It is slightly sweet and fruity on the palate, with sumptuous tannins. The wine has a fine acidity and a marvellous balance. The finish is long.

The Thelema Rabelais matured for 20 months in French oak casks, using 80 percent new barrels. The Thelema wine is world-renowned, particularly for its blends based on Cabernet Sauvignon. The complex and full-bodied of Thelema Rabelais lives up to the estate’s reputation and proves that Thelema knows perfectly how to combine the old world wines’ style with the fruity intensity of the new world.

This excellent red wine from South Africa is a perfect accompaniment to beef and game dishes.

Thelema „The Mint“

Beyerskloof Diesel Pinotage
‘Diesel Pinotage’ is certainly an unusual name for a wine. However, it is easily explained once you know the history behind it. ‘Diesel’ was the name of the dog of Beyer Truters, the owner of the Beyerskloof estate. The dog was his beloved, loyal and constant companion. Diesel was always at his side, whether in the vineyards, in the cellar or in his office, so it was only logical that Beyers Truters named his best wine after his ‘best’ friend. The grapes for the Beyerskloof Diesel Pinotage come from bush vines that are cultivated without wire trellis training systems. In South Africa, the bush vine method is often used specifically for Pinotage. The fermentation took place in open barrels for 5 days at an average temperature of 78.8° F, while the must was pressed down every 2 hours. Subsequently, the malolactic fermentation was carried out in stainless steel tanks. Afterwards, the wine matured for 18 months in new French oak casks. Only 20 out of a total of 300 filled barrels were chosen to produce the Diesel Pinotage. The Beyerskloof Diesel Pinotage is a deep purple in the glass. Its bouquet is characterised by complex aromas of blackberries and dark fruit, complemented by elegant notes of cedar wood. On the palate, the wine shows a fine but complex structure of black and red fruit. This Pinotage is truly a superb wine, captivating with its outstanding balance between fruit and wood. This wine has an outstanding ageing potential and it is expected to be a genuine delight over the next 10 years or even longer. It is an ideal accompaniment to spicy Indian cuisine or a well-matured rump steak. The Beyerskloof Diesel Pinotage is arguably one of the best Pinotage wines from the Cape.

Product recommendation

Beringer Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
The Beringer Knights Cabernet Sauvignon was vinified in the classic tradition of producing Bordeaux blends. Its bouquet offers wonderful fragrances of cassis, bilberries and Black Forest cherry cake. On the palate, the wine shows soft and silky tannins. Aromas of dark red fruit, bilberries, raspberries, dark cherries and vanilla unite with notes of black and blue fruit. The elegant structure of the Beringer Knights Cabernet Sauvignon is emphasised by a fine acidity. The wine is full-bodied with a fine, grainy texture. The prolonged, pleasant finish is accented by dense and vivid fruit aromas and rounded off by subtle hints of liquorice and mocha. The Beringer Cabernet Sauvignon from the Knights Valley matured for 16 months in French oak casks, of which 30% were new barrels and underwent malolactic fermentation for further development of texture and mouthfeel. It is a versatile wine for those special moments.Enjoy it with a good piece of meat or simply on its own. In any event, the Beringer Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a unique taste experience.

Château Pedesclaux Grand Cru Classe Pauillac 2015 AOP
