Der Silverthorn The Genie Rose Methode Cap Classique Brut ist ein exquisiter Rose-Schaumwein aus Südafrika, der nach der traditionellen Methode der Flaschengärung hergestellt wird. The Genie (der Flaschengeist) ist sicher ein etwas ungewöhnlicher Name für einen Wein, trifft es doch aber sehr gut, denn es kommt Magie aus der Flasche.

Für The Genie Rose werden sorgfältig ausgewählte Shiraz-Trauben verwendet, die in den Weinbergen der Robertson-Region in Südafrika angebaut werden. Diese Trauben verleihen dem Schaumwein seine charakteristische helle zwiebelschalenfarbene Tönung. Dieser Methode Cap Classique Rose Brut präsentiert sich im Glas mit feinen, wirbelnden Bläschenperlen. Er verströmt ein exotisches Bouquet aus türkischem Honig und Rosenwasser. Am Gaumen bietet der Silverthorn The  Genie Rose frische Himbeer- und Sorbetaromen. Unterstützt wird der Geschmack von einer samtigen Textur, feinem Schaum und einem langen Abgang.

The vines grow in vineyards with deep, sandy soils, situated between approximately 200 and 400 metres above sea level. Harvesting is done by hand in order to ensure that only fully ripe and healthy grapes are selected.The fine sparkling Lanzerac is a good accompaniment to any occasion. It offers creamy notes of sponge cake, complemented by lively aromas of apples and citrus fruit. The tiny bubbles virtually tingle on the tongue. This sophisticated vividness reveals the wine’s elegance and subtlety. The palate is characterised by a fine note of yeast, precisely sustaining the long-lasting finish.
