Denn unser Team hat gemeinsam mit dem renommierten Weingut Windmeul Kelder akribisch an der Entwicklung dieses Weißweins vom Kap gearbeitet, der die Vorzüge des Terroirs authentisch transportiert. Die Reben wachsen auf muschelreichen Böden, die vom Kreislauf des Meeres erschaffen wurden und deren Trauben einen herrlich eleganten Weißwein hervorbringen.

Eindrucksvolle tropische Noten (Passionsfrucht) prägen das Bouquet des reinsortigen Sauvignon Blancs aus der Coastal-Region. Hintergründige Töne von Schwarzen Johannisbeeren und Stachelbeeren runden den Duftstrauß harmonisch ab.

Am Gaumen ist der Sandfluisteraar Sauvignon Blanc trocken, mit einer feinen Säure und einer wunderbaren aromatischen Tiefe, wieder geprägt von tropischen Früchten. Windmeul Kelder

Das Weingut Windmeul Kelder liegt malerisch an den Hängen des Paarl-Berges in Südafrika. Das Gebiet ist etwa eine Stunde Fahrtzeit nördlich von Kapstadt entfernt und gehört zu den bekanntesten Weinanbaugebieten des Landes. Windmeul Kelder ist nach einer Windmühle benannt, die früher eine der schönsten und produktivsten der Region war. Die Mühle war auch deshalb weit berühmt, weil sie die einzige in der Gegend mit Segel war.

Nach der Zerstörung der Mühle gründeten 1944 ein paar Winzer auf dem Gelände eine Genossenschaft. Heute, mehr als 80 Jahre später, zählt Windmeul Kelder zu den größten und besten Weingütern in Südafrika. Mehr als 14.500 Tonnen Trauben pro Saison werden von einer Fläche von 1.700 Hektar verarbeitet. Geleitet wird die Weinproduktion von Winemaker Francois van Niekerk.

Das Repertoire bei Windmeul Kelder ist durch eine Vielzahl von Rebsorten geprägt. Am meisten wird Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinotage, Shiraz, Chardonnay und Chenin Blanc angebaut. Der Pinotage Reserve schaffte es in den letzten Jahren zweimal unter die Top 10 bei Südafrikas ABSA Pinotage Awards. Auch der Sauvignon Blanc 2014 war sehr erfolgreich. Beim Michelangelo International Wine Award in Südafrika erhielt er zweimal Gold.

Im Jahr 2023 wurde die neue Linie Sandfluistraar auf den Markt gebracht.
