This Cabernet Franc from the Raats estate has a fascinating, exceptionally multi-faceted bouquet, which unites notes of blackberries, red currants, cherries, liquorice, anise and cedar, complemented by a fine spice. The prolonged finish also offers nuances of blueberries, cinnamon and dark chocolate. This wine is the epitome of Cabernet Franc wines, showing a lovely acidity, great freshness and a lot of minerality.

The Raats Cabernet Franc comes from vines in Stellenbosch that are between 18 and 25 years old. The pure varietal Cabernet Franc matured for 18 months in French oak casks, of which 25% were new barrels. The remaining 75% matured in second-, third- and fourth-fill barrels (25% each).

The Life from Stone Sauvignon Blanc from Springfield Estate in Robertson, South Africa, is an impressive example of the region's exceptional minerality. On the estate's extremely stony quartz soils, the vines thrive in challenging conditions, giving the wine its characteristic pebbly, mineral expression. Every step in the vineyard reflects the meticulous handiwork of Springfield Estates: the planting of the older vines required monumental efforts, sometimes even the use of dynamite, to penetrate the hard rock.The vines are planted on a gently south-facing slope with 6060 vines per hectare. The climate is characterized by moderate summers with cool nights and cold winters, while the southeast wind in summer ensures healthy, aromatic grapes. These grapes are harvested at night and immediately protected with dry ice to preserve their freshness and fine aromas. Before bottling, only a 2.5-micron filtration is carried out - a gentle treatment that preserves the natural freshness and complexity of the wine.Intense minerality meets fresh citrus and green apple notes, which are typical of Sauvignon Blanc. On the palate, the white wine has a powerful, concentrated body, fine elegance and a long, lively finish.Perfect with grilled vegetables, goat's cheese, light pasta dishes with herb or lemon sauces and fresh salads.
