Chryseia is a renowned red wine from the Douro region in Portugal and is produced by a joint venture between the Symington family and Bruno Prats under the label "Prats & Symington". This is the so-called flagship of the cooperation. The wine is characterized by the style of Bordeaux wines. And of course this is no coincidence, as Bruno Prats is the former owner of some very well-known châteaux, such as Château Margaux or Cos d Estournel.

The name Chryseia comes from the ancient Greek and means "the golden one". And the wine truly has something sublime and precious about it. In the glass, the wine shines a deep ruby red with violet reflections. The nose is enveloped by the scent of floral notes, cassis, blackcurrant
and blueberry. There are also notes of leather, cocoa, pepper and mint. The Chryseia Prats & Symington is opulent and concentrated on the palate. The texture is characterized by silky tannins and a balanced acidity, accompanied by a fine sweetness. An incredibly elegant wine with a hint of chocolate and tobacco on the very long finish.

Chryseia is something very special in the glass, with an impressively complex aroma spectrum. The interplay between fruity and spicy notes also makes it an ideal accompaniment to various strong dishes.

Im Jahre 1999 gründeten der Portweinproduzent der vierten Generation, Rupert Symington, und der berühmte Bordeaux-Winzer Bruno Prats das Joint Venture Prats & Symington. Gemeinsam wählten sie die leistungsstärksten Weinbergparzellen der Symington-Weingüter im Douro aus und bauten in Quinta de Roriz ein eigenes Weingut, um die Trauben nach den Prinzipien der Bordeaux-Wein-herstellung zu vinifizieren. Man hat sich auf die Produktion von trockenen Rotweinen spezialisiert und steht damit an der Spitze der heutigen DOC Douro-Qualität.

Bright grenadine in colour with shades of violet.Mature aroma of forest fruit, blackberries, cherries, figs and cistus, with a floral hint. Smooth and fresh on the palate, with the length and expressive aromas characteristic of an Upper Douro wine.Handpicked grapes in 150-kilo crates, pressed, destalked and then fermented in steel vats at a temperature of no more than 25º. Maceration continues for long enough to produce a wine with the desired body and structure. Following malolactic fermentation in vats, 20% of the wine is aged in French oak barrels and the rest remains in the steel vats. The wine is bottled 18 months later.Excellent as an aperitif, it goes very well with soups, starters and salads. Also particularly recommended with dishes of fowl: roast chicken, duck risotto and quail, and with soft cheeses.

Die Reben, alles Tempranillo, waren bereits über 60 Jahre alt und das garantiert bis heute Trauben von enormer Konzentration. Javier Zaccagnini ist großer Verehrer des Komponisten Johann Sebastian Bach. Aus dem Titel einer Sonate vom Selbigen leitete Javier den Namen für sein Projekt und die Weine her. Der Erstwein nennt sich schlicht Sei Solo und für seinen Zweitwein hat er sich ebenfalls eines Begriffes aus der klassischen Musikwelt, nämlich Preludio, was so viel wie Auftakt bedeutet, bedient. Preludio Sei Solo ist also der „Startwein“ von Javier Zaccagnini. Dieser Rotwein vermittelt bereits die außergewöhnliche Art seiner Weine. Weine voller Kraft und Eleganz, die mit viel Finesse ausgestattet sind.Die Farbe des Preludio de Sei Solo strahlt purpurrot. Die Nase beeindruckt durch intensive rote und schwarze Fruchtnoten. Die Bandbreite reicht von Kirsche, über Brombeere bis hin zu Pflaume. Dazu kommen feine Tabaknoten. Am Gaumen zeigt sich der Rotwein fleischig mit seidigen Tanninen und strammer Struktur.
