Prats & Symington Chryseia

Chryseia is a renowned red wine from the Douro region in Portugal and is produced by a joint venture between the Symington family and Bruno Prats under the label "Prats & Symington". This is the so-called flagship of the cooperation. The wine is characterized by the style of Bordeaux wines. And of course this is no coincidence, as Bruno Prats is the former owner of some very well-known châteaux, such as Château Margaux or Cos d Estournel.

The name Chryseia comes from the ancient Greek and means "the golden one". And the wine truly has something sublime and precious about it. In the glass, the wine shines a deep ruby red with violet reflections. The nose is enveloped by the scent of floral notes, cassis, blackcurrant
and blueberry. There are also notes of leather, cocoa, pepper and mint. The Chryseia Prats & Symington is opulent and concentrated on the palate. The texture is characterized by silky tannins and a balanced acidity, accompanied by a fine sweetness. An incredibly elegant wine with a hint of chocolate and tobacco on the very long finish.

Chryseia is something very special in the glass, with an impressively complex aroma spectrum. The interplay between fruity and spicy notes also makes it an ideal accompaniment to various strong dishes.

Prats & Symington

This wine shows an intense, powerful and fruity bouquet. It is full-bodied and rich in fruit and tannins.Enjoy this Vinho Tinto with dark meat, grilled fish, hearty flummeries and spicy pizza. The Douro wine-growing region is the oldest protected region of origin in Portugal. The cultivation area was already precisely defined and designated in 1761. This bizarre landscape along the Douro River is characterized by steep slopes and terraces extending down to the river. The prevailing cultivation conditions here are extremely harsh, so that the vines grow only with difficulty on the slate and granite soils. In former times, port was almost the only thing produced here, but today, the Douro area ranks among Portugal’s top wine regions.

Duas Quintas Douro Clássico Tinto - Red
The Duas Quintas Douro Red has a bright, grenadine-red color with violet nuances.Ripe aromas of wild berries, blackberries, cherries, figs and cistus, with a floral note.Smooth and fresh on the palate, with the length and expressive flavors that are characteristic of an Alto Douro wine. The grapes are harvested by hand in 150 kg crates, pressed and destemmed and then fermented in steel vats at a temperature of no more than 25º. After malolactic fermentation, 20% of the wine is aged in French oak barrels and the rest remains in the steel tanks. The wine is bottled 18 months later.Excellent as an aperitif, with soups, starters and salads. Also particularly recommended with poultry dishes: Roast chicken, duck and quail risotto, and with soft cheeses.

Van Volxem Alte Reben Riesling dry
Small-berried grapes from vines up to 120 years old and steep vineyards with slate subsoil form the basis for the Van Volxem Alte Reben Riesling. A wine with a dense, deep texture. Light greenish yellow in the glass, the bouquet is characterized by aromas, concentration and minerality with a salty touch. The wine smells wonderfully of orange, pineapple and lemon. Initially cool and mineral on the palate, then zesty with a herbaceous note to end with a slightly melting, elegantly fruity finish. A lively finish ends the multi-faceted arc of tension. The Van Volxem Alte Reben Riesling is a wine of great length and intensity and deserves the highest recognition and attention.
