Nik Weis Mosel Riesling Kabinett

The Nik Weis Mosel Riesling Kabinett comes from a prestigious winery on the Mosel, which is appreciated far beyond the region for its excellent Rieslings. The Nik Weis - St. Urbans-Hof winery cultivates traditional steep vineyards along the Moselle and Saar rivers and perfectly showcases the typical elegance and minerality of the region with this Kabinett wine.

This Riesling shines in the glass in a light straw yellow with greenish reflections. Its aroma is characterized by juicy citrus fruits, crisp green apples and a hint of white peach. The mineral notes of the slate soil give it additional depth and elegance. On the palate, the Nik Weis Mosel Riesling Kabinett impresses with an exciting balance of lively acidity and fine residual sweetness. The fruity aromas unfold with a pleasant lightness and are accompanied by a subtle herbal spiciness. The finish is fresh, long-lasting and leaves an animating mouthfeel.

This elegant white wine is a wonderful accompaniment to light, aromatic dishes. It is an excellent accompaniment to Asian dishes with a subtle spiciness, such as Thai curries or Vietnamese summer rolls. For lovers of German cuisine, it is also recommended with a classic tarte flambée with bacon and onions.

Nik Weis Sankt Urbans-Hof Schiefer Riesling
The name "Nik Weis Sankt Urbans-Hof Schiefer Riesling" already reveals the special nature of this Riesling from Nik Weis. The Nik Weis Schiefer Riesling comes from vines that grow either on soils with Devonian slate, also known as black slate, in the Mosel region or on soils from the Saar with reddish slate. The interplay of these two terroirs is what makes this Riesling so unique.Wonderfully clear in the glass, the nose reveals beautiful citrus fruit and notes of ripe yellow fruit. This dry white wine shows an incredible minerality, which particularly expresses the terroir with its salty touch. The taste of melon and pear stands out clearly on the palate. A tangy acidity and a pleasant residual sweetness give the Nik Weis Schiefer Riesling a beautiful complexity. The finish is superbly spicy, allowing the vegan wine to linger for a long time. An all-round elegant wine.It pairs beautifully with oriental cuisine or light blue cheese.

Nik Weis Riesling, semi-dry
An ideal introduction to the world of Nik Weis wines: The delicately dry Nik Weis Riesling comes from vines up to 70 years old, grown on flatter vineyard sites in the Upper Middle Mosel and, in part, on steep slopes characterized by weathered slate soil. Nik Weis brings out the full potential of this terroir through his masterful winemaking. The Riesling wines from the Moselle also regularly receive top ratings from international wine critics. The Nik Weis Riesling “feinherb” combines notes of apricots and green apples in its bouquet, harmonizing beautifully with floral tones (white blossoms). This is complemented by a subtle herbal spice. On the palate, this Rhineland-Palatinate white wine is full-bodied, with lovely acidity and minerality that, combined with its subtle residual sweetness, create a fantastic tasting experience.Renowned winemaker Nik Weis once again presents a Riesling whose value for money is simply astonishing. Enjoy discovering this pale gold, shimmering Riesling.
