Königschaffhausen Volcanic Rock Pinot Blanc, Dry

“Queen of White Wines”—that’s what the winemakers in the Kaiserstuhl region call the Pinot Blanc grape. In the picturesque low mountain range of volcanic origin in southwestern Baden-Württemberg, wonderful wines thrive on heat-retaining lava soils. The Mediterranean climate does the rest.

The Königschaffhausen Vulkanfelsen Pinot Blanc is characterized by its robust acidity. This is complemented by delicate fruit aromas of pineapple and peach. An invigorating white wine that combines a full-bodied character with elegant freshness.

The Kaiserstuhl, Germany’s warmest and sunniest region, has been home for centuries to numerous wineries that produce outstanding wines. The Königschaffhausen Winegrowers’ Cooperative has been in existence since 1933.

Hensel Aufwind Pinot Blanc - Chardonnay
The unusual combination of Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc in this Hensel wine offers an exciting drinking experience. Spring-like, white Burgundy cuvée with initially delicate, floral notes of Pinot Blanc, accompanied by opulent Chardonnay aromas reminiscent of fresh bananas. Equally bivalent in the mouth with a wiry, nervy structure and freshness, the Chardonnay partner guarantees juicy, ripe fruit and a perfectly balanced sweetness and acidity. A wonderfully elegant, versatile white wine from the Palatinate from the Hensel winery for the open-air season. The Hensel Aufwind Pinot Blanc Chardonnay goes well with light summer dishes such as pasta and salads. You can also try this dry wine with grilled chicken burgers.

Knipser Chardonnay & Weißburgunder trocken
The Chardonnay & Weißburgunder dry from the Knipser winery is a stylish cuvée made from two of the most popular white grape varieties. Both varieties ripen under optimal conditions in the Palatinate and combine here to create a harmonious, balanced white wine with structure and finesse. This composition of predominantly Chardonnay and around a third Pinot Blanc smells of fresh meadow hay and fine Burgundy aromas. On the palate, this Knipser Chardonnay Pinot Blanc dry from the Palatinate is lively, elegant and balanced, with plenty of body and wonderfully juicy. The two grape varieties for the Knipser Chardonnay & Weißburgunder (Pinot Blanc) trocken are grown together in the vineyard, similar to the traditional "gemischter Satz". The hand-picked grapes ferment together at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. This creates a harmonious whole during the production of this wine. The Pinot Blanc characterizes the wine with its fullness, while the Chardonnay gives it its typical spiciness. The Knipser Chardonnay & Weißburgunder trocken is a universal food companion, for example with Vitello Tonnato. This is why the white wine is also very popular in gastronomy.
