Usseglio Raymond & Fils

The Usseglio Raymond & Fils Châteauneuf-du-Pape combines power, elegance and terroir in an exceptional red wine. The Usseglio Raymond & Fils winery works organically and biodynamically and attaches great importance to preserving the soil and promoting biodiversity.The grapes come from vines around 50 years old on the four classic terroirs of the appellation: sand, sandstone/clay, limestone and the characteristic round pebbles. The grapes are harvested manually at optimum ripeness and are carefully hand-picked.The cuvée consists of Grenache Noir, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault and Counoise. 80% of the wine is matured in traditional concrete tanks, 20% in old oak barrels, which gives it a fine structure and elegance.Intense aromas of cherries, raspberries, black pepper and licorice unfold on the nose, accompanied by subtle garrigue notes. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with a silky texture, harmonious tannins and a long, elegant finish.The Usseglio Raymond & Fils Châteauneuf-du-Pape is an excellent accompaniment to lamb, roast beef or hearty stews and also goes wonderfully well with mature cheeses. Serve at 16-18 °C to allow the complex aromas and velvety structure of the wine to develop to their full potential.
