Graham’s "The Tawny" Reserve Tawny Port

The Symington family has been producing premium port wines in the Douro valley for five generations now. They put special emphasis on traditional production methods but by no means forget the innovations. The family is still directly involved in the production; the cellar master Charles Symington created this port himself.Graham’s The Tawny is his personal interpretation of a fine port wine aged in wooden casks. The Tawny matured for an average of 7-9 years in oak casks, and was partially blended with considerably older port wines in order to give it more complexity and character.This wine is well-balanced with the abundance of aromas of black and red fruit that wonderfully unite with notes of oranges, orange peel, cinnamon, figs, raisins and plums to create this outstanding taste experience.This amber-coloured port wine is exceptionally aromatic and full-bodied. It is lovely on its own as an aperitif, especially when it’s slightly chilled, or after a good dinner. The Tawny also goes beautifully with almond cake or crème brûlée.

Graham’s Fine Ruby Port

With Graham port wines from the Douro valley you get what you expect - reliability and excellent value for money. Graham’s Fine Ruby is a perfect example of this.It is a deep ruby-red in the glass. Its bouquet hints at red and black berries. On the palate, the wine offers notes of cherries and blackberries and aromas of red fruit. The finish is extremely long and likewise characterised by an abundance of fruit.Graham’s Fine Ruby is a port wine for any occasion, as it preserves precisely the right balance between a sumptuous richness and young, fresh fruit. Its intense aromas result from two years of ageing in oak casks. This seems to be the appropriate period of time for this port to develop its quality to the fullest.The round and extremely fruity character make it an everyday port wine that is lovely to enjoy on its own. It also goes beautifully with cheeses or chocolate desserts.It is not necessary to decant the Graham’s Fine Ruby. We recommend serving it at a temperature between 53.6 and 60.8° F.

This is due to the fact that the Fine Tawny is not too sweet and slightly on the lighter side, yet impressive with its rich fruit aromas and wonderful notes of nuts.This port wine matured for three years in wooden casks, developing intense aromas of ripe and dried fruit and caramel. Its character is that of a young, fruity port wine, already influenced by notes of wood, giving this wine qualities of a ripe port. In short, this wine has precisely the right mixture that makes a successful port wine. It is a reddish-gold in the glass, caressing the palate with its great elegance and softness. We recommend enjoying Graham’s Fine Tawny well-chilled at a temperature between 50.0-57.2° F.It is a perfect accompaniment to dried fruit, creamy desserts or as a contrast to sweets of all kinds.

Graham’s Fine White Port

Founded in 1820 by William and John Graham in the Douro valley, the Graham’s estate has long been renowned for premium port wines.The Graham’s Fine White is a particular specialty of the winery as it is made only from white grapes from the Douro valley, namely from the Códega, Malvasia Fina, Rabigato and Viosinho varieties. During the production, the wine has no contact with the skins. The Fine White has a delicious residual sweetness. This is due to the fact that the fermentation is deliberately kept shorter, so that a part of the natural sugar content is not degraded and lovely notes of honey and nectar remain.All this is balanced by a wonderful freshness and a pleasant acidity. This light golden port pampers the senses with aromas of citrus fruit and almonds.We recommend enjoying Graham’s Fine White chilled at a temperature of 42.8-50.0° F, so that it can develop the interplay of freshness and fruit aromas to the fullest.It is a perfect accompaniment to light desserts and hard cheeses. It is also lovely on its own as a classic aperitif.

Graham’s Six Grapes Reserve Port

The winery founded in 1820 by William and John Graham has an exceptional reputation among producers of Port wines in the Douro Valley and is one of the most renowned wine-makers there. The name ‘Six Grapes’ is due to the fact that the estate internally awards its wines scores ranging from 1-6 grapes to assess the quality of the respective parcels of land with regard to the use of the relevant grapes in the production of the best Ports.This Port was thus awarded 100 out of 100 possible points, so to speak, raising expectations that are not disappointed. The grapes for this wine came from the five best vineyards - Quinta dos Malvedos, Quinta do Tua, Quinta das Lages, Quinta da Vila Velha ad Quinta do Vale de Malhadas - all of them iconic vineyards for the Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca grape varieties. Further varieties were added to round off this blend. At the Quintas, the grapes are harvested separately according to their level of ripeness. The processing of the grapes in the cellar is carried out separately as well to achieve optimal results. The wine matured in barrels for only a brief period - about one to two years - to ensure that the youthful freshness and fruit were retained in the wine. The Graham’s Six Grapes has a deep red colour. Its wonderful bouquet is redolent of ripe plums and cherries. On the palate, the wine offers lovely fruity notes, nuances of currants, cassis, blackberries and liquorice that lead to an extremely long finish. The Six Grapes goes beautifully with dark chocolate, blue cheeses or nut and chocolate desserts. It is also lovely on its own to finish off an excellent meal or to enjoy as an everyday wine after work. In view of its high quality, this wine offers extremely good value for money! We recommend enjoying the Graham’s Six Grapes slightly chilled at a temperature of about 53.6-60.8 °F.

Niepoort 10 Years Old Tawny Port

The Niepoort 10 Year Old Tawny Port has a wonderfully multi-layered bouquet, offering enticing notes of orange and lemon peel, along with nuances of coffee, caramel and honey. This blend, consisting of wines with an average age of ten years, is full-bodied and sumptuous on the palate, showing a lovely sweetness, lots of fruit and a prolonged finish.The Niepoort 10 Year Old Tawny Port was aged for a long time in wooden casks, giving the wine its typical golden colour. The Niepoort Dry White Port is a shimmering gold in the glass and has a bouquet redolent of nuts and almonds. This high-quality blend, consisting of the Côdega, Rabigato, Viosinho, Arinto and Gouveio grape varieties, is medium-dry, fresh and simultaneously aromatic and concentrated on the palate, with a prolonged finish. The grapes for the Niepoort Dry White Port come from vines that are more than 30 years old. The port wine matured for one year in large oak tanks and another three years in smaller, old oak casks. You’ll enjoy discovering this Niepoort well-chilled as an aperitif or as a cocktail with tonic, a slice of lemon or some lemon peel and ice cubes.This wine is also available in a 0.375-litre bottle.
