The Castellana winery cultivates a vineyard called Cantarranas, from which the grapes for this refreshing wine come. The Cantarranas Rueda Verdejo DO has a light, straw-yellow color in the glass. Its citrus notes are accompanied by hints of elderberry and tropical fruit. The vegan wine has a tangy acidity, is full-bodied and lean.Around 200 years ago, a small stream ran through the town where Valladolid is now a sociable meeting place with many bars, but it only carried water when it had just rained and then dammed up to form a small pond. Frogs would settle there and croak in a variety of pitches. This explains the name Cantarranas = frog song.
