The Glera grapes ripen to fresh elegance on mineral-rich soils before being processed into this fine sparkling wine using the Charmat method.In the glass, the Italian Prosecco is a brilliant straw yellow with greenish reflections. The Primitivo di Manduria DOC Riserva has a ruby red color in the glass. Notes of ripe plums, cherry jam and tobacco characterize the bouquet of this single-varietal Primitivo from Apulia. The 12-month maturation in wooden barrels adds notes of cocoa, vanilla and coffee. On the palate, the Conte di Campiano Primitivo di Manduria Riserva is velvety and luscious, with a fine spiciness, full body, some sweetness and beautifully integrated tannins.At a drinking temperature of 16-18 degrees, this ruby red wine from Apulia goes wonderfully with red meat, game and hearty starters.We recommend decanting this semi-dry red wine several hours before drinking.
