Château Alfa

The Château Alfa La Bernarde Côtes de Blaye AOC 2022 comes from the Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux appellation on the right bank of the Gironde River, north of Bordeaux. The vineyards are situated on the region’s characteristic clay-limestone soils, which provide the vines with a good water supply even in warm years and lend the wines freshness and structure. The wine is made from 60% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 20% Cabernet Franc. Vinification takes place in concrete and stainless steel tanks to preserve the fruit aromas and regional character as authentically as possible.In the glass, the 2022 vintage presents a deep ruby red color. On the nose, aromas of black currants, ripe cherries, and dark wild berries unfold, accompanied by subtle spice notes, a hint of licorice, and delicate hints of herbs. On the palate, the wine is powerful and balanced, with a pleasant combination of fruit, freshness, and well-integrated tannins.
