This Spanish red wine consists of the Monastrell grape variety, which is likewise a great classic. The grapes come from old vines that produce low yields but make the wine particularly concentrated and rich in flavour.

The SEDA Monastrell from the Bodegas Torre Oria estate is a deep red in colour. Its bouquet offers notes of black fruit and mocha, complemented by aromas of ripe cherries and fresh herbs. The dry red wine is powerful on the palate, with soft tannins and a complex structure. The finish is very fruity.

The Alceño Romeo Organic Monastrell is an organic wine from the Jumilla region in Spain. The Monastrell vines grow on barren stony soils with a high lime content, giving the wine its powerful aromas. The wine is an intense cherry red with purple glints in the glass. On the nose, it offers aromas of ripe red fruit, roasted spices and notes of smoke. The Romeo Organic Monastrell is extremely full-bodied and powerful on the palate.Due to the ageing in French and American oak casks, the tannins are always noticeable but wonderfully soft and elegant. The dry red wine is juicy and mature, showing a light sweetness. Hints of cinnamon support the structure all the way into the prolonged finish. Such a good wine for so little money is rare, indeed!Try this Spanish wine from Bodegas Alceño with aubergines stuffed with sheep’s milk cheese and balsamic vinegar, accompanied by tomato ragout. Mea Culpa Vino Rosso

‘Mea Culpa’ means ‘my fault’. Mario Minini from the Cantine Minini estate used this expression ironically to name his outstanding red wine. In his opinion, he created the best cuvée that can be made using the Appassimento method.The Mea Culpa Vino Rosso in an extraordinary wine in all respects. The Primitivo, Shiraz and Merlot grapes for the Appassimento cuvée come from two very different wine-growing regions in Italy. The Primitivo grapes come from Apulia, of course, while the Shiraz and Merlot grapes come from Sicily, wonderfully uniting to create this excellent blend. The responsible wine-maker Mario Minini and his team of oenologists worked on the optimal composition of this blend for a long time. The result is a medium-dry red wine, offering an abundance of aromas on the nose.Fine notes of chocolate, nuances of tobacco and strong fruit aromas of blackberries, strawberries and dark cherries unite with notes of mocha and vanilla. On the palate, the wine shows a vivid acidity and a fine tannin structure. The full but elegant body has an exquisite structure. Due to the ageing in 225-litre oak casks made of French oak, the Mea Culpa Vino Rosso offers notes of vanilla and tobacco in its finish.It is an ideal accompaniment to meals. Der El Ego Bodegas Goru DOP duftet intensiv nach reifen roten Früchten. Noten von Pflaumenkompott und Blaubeermuffins sowie feine Nuancen von Nussschokolade und dezentes Süßholz prägen das Bouquet.
