The grapes for the Lanzerac Pinotage come from vineyards that are located between 400 and 420 metres above sea level. The prevailing wind cools the grapes in hot summers. The soils consist mainly of decomposed granite, enhancing the vines’ deep growth and improving water retention in the soil. After fermentation in stainless steel tanks with regular pumping over, the Lanzerac Pinotage matured for 15 months in first-, second- and third-fill oak casks.At this point, the optimal integration between fruit and wood was completed, resulting in a wine of excellent colour with fragrances of ripe berries and plums. On the palate, the Lanzerac Pinotage is velvety, dense, full-bodied and complex, showing a lovely balance. Aromas of high-quality chocolate and notes of caramel enhance the taste experience along with wonderfully integrated tannins.Enjoy the Lanzerac Pinotage with venison medallions in plum sauce or Asian curry dishes.

Winemaker Eduardo Casademont hat sich ganz dem Motto des Dadaimus verschrieben die konventionellen Werte mal auszublenden und etwas Neues zu schaffen. Der für Argentinien eher ungewöhnliche halbtrockene Wein aus den Rebsorten Malbec und Bonarda hat Charme und begeistert durch seine Zugänglichkeit von Anfang an. Die Fülle und das Volumen des Weins zeigen sich schon in einer ausdrucksstarken dunklen purpurroten Farbe. In der Nase ist eine tolle saftige Frucht festzustellen. Diese wird ergänzt durch Noten von Gewürzen, süßer Schokolade und Amarena Kirschen.Die Trauben für den Finca Las Moras DADA No. 1 stammen aus dem Pedernal-Tal, welches für seine hohen Temperaturschwankungen bekannt ist. Dadurch erreicht der Wein seine dichte Struktur und Würzigkeit. Am Gaumen verwöhnt er mit feiner ausgewogener Säure und gut integrierten Tanninen, die präsent aber nicht aufdringlich sind. Der Ausbau in amerikanischer Eiche macht den Wein harmonisch und hervorragend ausbalanciert.

By low proceeds of 50 hectoliters per hectare the grapes get lots of intensity and the wine has enough strength and depth to let a part of it mature in wooden barrels. Anri Truter Besitzer und Winzer bei Beyerskloof wird längst als Mister Pinotage in Südafrika bezeichnet. Nur wenige geben sich mit einer solchen Hingabe dieser Rebsorte hin. Der Beyerskloof Pinotage Reserve lagerte für 14 Monate auf französischer Eiche. 10 % des Rotweins verbrachte dabei die Reifung in neuen Fässern und der Rest in Fässern zweiter und dritter Füllung. Das gibt dem Wein eine feine Zedernholzaromatik. Die Farbe des Beyerkloof Pinotage Reserve ist tiefrot und in der Nase finden sich komplexe Aromen von Brombeeren und Pflaumen. Am Gaumen wunderbar ausbalanciert und saftig mit einer fleischigen Note. Opulent und mit feiner Textur zeigt dieser Pinotage die ganze Bandbreite der Rebsorte.
