This Chardonnay was aged in used French oak casks and unites notes of toast or brioche with nuances of citrus fruit, tangerines and citrus blossoms in its bouquet, complemented by fine, subtle hints of vanilla and almonds. On the palate, the Paul Cluver Chardonnay is fresh and clear, with a lovely acidity.

You’ll enjoy discovering this pure varietal Chardonnay from the wine-growing region of Elgin with fish, poultry or pork, for example. It is also an ideal accompaniment to creamy pasta dishes or meals with salmon. The remarkable balance between the ageing in wooden casks and the fruitiness makes the Paul Cluver Chardonnay a true delight to enjoy simply on its own.

This Pinot Noir from South Africa has a wonderfully fruity bouquet offering notes of cranberries, pomegranate, raspberries, almonds and seagrass. On the palate, the wine shows lovely, intense aromas and a pleasant, natural acidity.The Paul Cluver Pinot Noir matured for eleven months in oak casks, of which 15% were new barrels. The rest of the barrels were second-, third- and fourth-fill oak casks.The Pinot Noir from the wine-growing region of Elgin has a lovely acidity and goes beautifully with meals. It is a very good accompaniment to grilled beef, game or tangy hard cheeses.

Lively pear, citrus zest, freshly cut apple and blossom on the nose with attractive, wet stone, spiced oak and nutty undertones. An impressive structure underneath a lovely combination of stonefruit amongst others. The 13 months of lees contact lead to a rich, textured, broad and rounded mouth feel, yet appealingly fresh from the core acidity. With the lanolin and other tertiary flavours that will develop even more, this wine will be one of the most complex and balanced ever to be produced from these 106 year old vines.7% Sauvignon Blanc was blended in to enhance the vibrance and freshness.
