Im Glas strahlt der österreichische Rotwein rubinrot. Er duftet nach frischen Brombeeren und Sauerkirschen. Dazu kommen unterschwellige Eichennoten sowie Anklänge von Kakao und Kaffee. Am Gaumen ist der reinsortige St. Laurent vollmundig und aromatisch fruchtig, mit sehr zurückhaltenden Tanninen und einem unkomplizierten Finale.

Dürnberg Zweigelt Falkenstein

The vines for the Dürnberg Zweigelt Bodenschatz grow on weathered lacustrine lime and clay soils. The soil is rich in humus, which stores water well. The fully ripe, healthy grapes are harvested at the beginning of October. After harvest, the burst grapes are fermented in tubs for two weeks initially. Afterwards, they are pressed and aged for five to eight months partly in 500-litre oak casks and partly in steel tanks, resulting in a complex, elegant red wine with a cool minerality.On the nose, the aromatic and well-balanced Zweigelt offers fine, spicy nuances, along with strong cherry aromas. Bründlmayer Zweigelt

The grapes used for the Bründlmayer Zweigelt ripen in the wine-growing area of Kamptal, located about 80 kilometres west of Vienna. In the nose, the wine is spicy with lovely flavours of wild berries and toasted notes, complemented by a brief hint of pepper. The mild to medium-bodied wine has a relatively youthful tannin content.The Bründlmayer Zweigelt matured in stainless steel tanks and in mostly used Austrian oak casks. Zweigelt is a blend consisting of the two autochthonous Austrian St. Laurent and Blaufränkisch grape varieties and is highly regarded throughout Austria for its fruitiness and freshness.Enjoy this Austrian red wine with pasta, light game dishes and, in summer, slightly cooled with BBQ.

Zantho Blaufränkisch Burgenland

Gemeinsam außergewöhnliche Weine naturnah und regionalbezogen zu produzieren, ist die Vision des österreichischen Weinguts Zantho. Ihre Blaufränkisch Trauben, die Grundlage des Zantho Blaufränkisch Burgenland, wachsen in wärmeren Lagen im Seewinkel. Die Weingärten werden hier durch sehr trockene, steinige und mineralische Böden gekennzeichnet. Die Region zählt zu den heißesten und trockensten Weinanbaugebieten in Österreich – ideale Bedingungen für die Produktion von charaktervollen Rotweinen.Nach der Gärung bei einer Temperatur von 30-32°C erfolgt eine klassische Reifung in Edelstahltanks.Im Glas zeigt sich der Zantho Blaufränkisch Burgenland in einem tiefen Rot mit violetter Randaufhellung. Die Nase umspielen eine unerwartete feine Frucht, die an Brombeeren erinnert und von mineralischen Noten unterlegt ist. Auch am Gaumen erkennt man eine saftige und tiefwürzige Beerenfrucht, die von einer feinen Säure unterstützt wird. Der Abgang ist lang und anhaltend.
