The Dornier Cocoa Hill Chenin Blanc comes from the Stellenbosch and Swartland wine regions in the Western Cape, South Africa. Inspired by the adventurous story of the pirate Long Ben, who once made Table Bay unsafe and later planted vines on Cocoa Hill, this wine embodies the spirit of the coast and the fertile soils that produce the grapes today.This versatile grape variety has been vinified into a fresh and fruity style of wine with a vibrant, bright color. On the nose, the white wine has delicate aromas of passion fruit and lychee, which continue on the palate with a lively and refreshing acidity. Dornier Donatus Red

The Donier Donatus is a masterful cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Malbec, Merlot and Cabernet Franc, sourced exclusively from the Dornier vineyard on the sun-drenched slopes of Stellenbosch Mountain. The unique combination of red, weathered granite soil and clay-rich soils ensures that the grapes ripen slowly and evenly. The result is a profound wine of impressive concentration and fine elegance.The hand-picked grapes are carefully selected in the cellar and fermented separately. Fermentation takes place in open fermentation vats with pumping over four times a day to ensure optimum extraction while preserving the fruit aromas. After malolactic fermentation, the wine matures for 18 months in French oak barrels, a third of which are new barrels - this gives the wine a fine spiciness and complexity without masking the freshness. The harmonious blending only takes place after maturation, so that only the best components make it into the bottle.In the glass, Donier Donatus impresses with an intense black-violet color and a multi-faceted aroma of ripe blackcurrant, cassis and blackberry. Subtle notes of licorice, dark cherry and cedar wood give the wine additional depth. On the palate, Donatus is elegant and balanced, with silky tannins that provide a pleasant structure. The Dornier Equanimity Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the famous Stellenbosch wine region and embodies the spirit of a unique terroir with its deep structure and expressive fruit. Inspired by a retreat away from the noise of everyday life, this wine reflects tranquillity, balance and strength - qualities that make it a special experience for connoisseurs.The grapes ripened under optimal conditions, which enabled a perfect balance between ripeness and freshness. Fermentation took place in open tanks, with the mash being carefully pumped over and punched down four times a day in order to extract the maximum aromas and structure from the berries. The wine then matured for 18 months in French oak barrels, 35% of which were new, giving it a subtle, elegant woody note and additional complexity.Visually, the Dornier Equanimity Cabernet Sauvignon is an intense black cherry red. The nose is dominated by notes of cassis and black berries, accompanied by hints of cigar box, pencil shavings, subtle oak and a fresh hint of mint. On the palate, it impresses with dense, concentrated fruit aromas, elegant, well-integrated tannins and a long-lasting, balanced finish.This powerful yet elegant red wine is an excellent accompaniment to hearty beef, lamb and game dishes and develops its full potential at a drinking temperature of around 16-18 °C.

Dornier Moordenaarskloof Tinta Barocca

The Moordenaarskloof Tinta Barocca is a full-bodied and complex red wine that impressively reflects the special characteristics of the old Tinta Barocca vines from Swartland. This grape variety, originally from Portugal's Douro Valley, was the first Portuguese variety to be planted in South Africa and has established itself here thanks to its potential for strong, colorful and elegantly structured wines. The wine comes from dry-farmed bush vines on the slopes of the Paardeberg, which grow on weathered granite soil with a proportion of coffee stone. The natural conditions ensure a very low yield and concentrated, colorful grapes with a pronounced aroma.The grapes are harvested by hand in the cool morning hours to preserve the freshness and quality of the berries. After destemming, the must ferments in temperature-controlled, open fermentation tanks, where it is gently punched down four times a day. Malolactic fermentation then takes place in wooden barrels, followed by a 17-month maturation period in the barrel, which gives the wine its fine structure and complexity. This careful processing ensures velvety tannins and a harmonious combination of fruit and spice.In the glass, the Moordenaarskloof Tinta Barocca reveals intense aromas of raspberries, mulberries and aromatic spices. Dornier Moordernaarskloof Chenin Blanc

The Moordenaarskloof Chenin Blanc comes from a unique vineyard on the Keerweerder estate, on the slopes of the Stellenbosch Mountains. This small but versatile parcel is characterized by three different soil types, which give the wine remarkable complexity and depth. Since its planting in 1986 at the foot of the Moordenaarskloof at an altitude of 230 meters, the vineyard has been characterized by a natural balance of growth and yield, which is reflected in the quality of the grapes.The grapes are harvested by hand in the cool morning hours at the beginning of February and gently pressed. After a cold, natural clarification of the must, fermentation takes place in old 300-liter French oak barrels. The wine remains on the lees until bottling, which gives it a creamy texture and a special fullness. Gentle production with minimal intervention guarantees the authentic expression of the terroir and the Chenin Blanc variety.In the glass, the Dornier Moordenaarskloof Chenin Blanc is a light, pale straw yellow. Delicate scents of wild flowers and Cape honeysuckle unfold on the nose, accompanied by aromas of white peaches and pineapple. A fine minerality gives the wine additional depth. Dornier Pinotage

The Dornier Pinotage comes from the famous Swartland, a wine region about 50 kilometers north of Dornier, which is known for its unique terroirs and strong wines. The vines grow on natural bush vineyards in a soil mix of sand and coffee stone. These dry conditions without irrigation result in small grapes with intensely concentrated aromas and make for particularly characterful wines.This Pinotage is a deep garnet red in the glass. Intense, persistent aromas of cherries and red berries unfold on the nose, finely complemented by notes of Turkish honey and rose water. On the palate, the red wine impresses with powerful concentration and an exciting combination of aromas of plum, bitter cherry, strawberry jam and black pepper. The taste experience is rounded off by subtle, spicy wood notes from the ageing in French oak.The grapes are harvested by hand for vinification. Some of the grapes are not destemmed in order to obtain additional structure. Fermentation takes place in open stainless steel tanks with pumping over four times a day to extract the fruit and tannins optimally. The Pinotage is pressed before complete drying and fermentation is completed in barrel. Malolactic fermentation also takes place in the barrel. The wine then matures for 18 months in French oak barrels, 10% of which are new wood, which further increases the complexity and depth of the wine.Dornier Pinotage is an excellent accompaniment to roasts and game dishes. Spicy dishes such as curries and the South African national dish bobotie also harmonize perfectly with this wine.

Dornier Semillon

The Dornier Semillon is an excellent white wine that perfectly unites the fascinating combination of tradition and modern winemaking. This single-varietal white wine comes from a unique single vineyard in Stellenbosch, which offers ideal conditions for grape quality with its weathered granite soil and cool microclimate. With its bright golden color and complex aromas, this wine impressively demonstrates the character and finesse of the Semillon grape.The grapes are harvested by hand at optimum ripeness, ensuring that the best fruit is carefully selected and sorted in the vineyard. The must is fermented in new and second 300-liter French oak barrels and remains on the lees for nine months. This long ageing on the fine lees gives the wine its rich, creamy texture and additional complexity.Intense aromas of lemon zest, fresh hay, caramelized apple and honey unfold on the nose and shape the elegant character of the Semillon. The aromatic diversity continues on the palate with notes of quince, lemon meringue and brioche. Dornier Siren Syrah

The Dornier Sirene Syrah is a red wine full of character from the Stellenbosch wine region in South Africa. It combines the special terroir conditions of the Simonsberg with traditional craftsmanship to create an elegant yet powerful wine that delights Syrah lovers with its intense fruit and complex aromas.The vines for this wine thrive on the slopes of the Simonsberg on deep red soils. The north-eastern exposure and proximity to the mountain ensure that the first rays of sunshine reach the vineyard later in the morning, while cool south-easterly winds in the summer months keep the vines healthy. This combination of climate and soil creates ideal conditions for slow, even ripening of the grapes.The grapes are fermented in open stainless steel tanks, with pumping over twice a day to ensure optimal extraction of fruit aromas and tannins. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation before maturing for 15 months in second and third passage French oak barrels. This gentle ageing process preserves the fine fruit aromas and gives the wine its elegant structure.In the glass, the Dornier Sirene Syrah has a deep, dark red color and an intense bouquet of ripe dark berries, accompanied by spicy notes and a hint of violets.
