Der Wildeberg Wild House Shiraz ist ein eleganter Rotwein aus der südafrikanischen Region Franschhoek, der die unverwechselbare Handschrift der Wildberg-Weine trägt. Dieser Shiraz begeistert durch seine tiefe und dichte Frucht, gepaart mit würzigen und rauchigen Noten, die typisch für die Region und Rebsorte sind. Die warmen Klimabedingungen und die vielfältigen Böden verleihen dem Wild House Shiraz seine bemerkenswerte Komplexität und Ausdruckskraft.In der Nase offenbart der Wildeberg Wild House Shiraz intensive Aromen von dunklen Beeren, reifen Pflaumen und Schwarzkirschen, untermalt von einem Hauch von Pfeffer, Nelken und einem rauchigen Unterton. Am Gaumen zeigt er sich vollmundig mit samtigen Tanninen und einer Spur von Mineralität. The Hensel und Gretel Cuvée Rotwein (red wine) is another joint project realised by the wine-makers Thomas Hensel and Markus Schneider. The wine-makers from the Palatinate share not only a deep friendship, but their passion for creating great wines as well. Thus it’s no surprise that they collaborated in the creation of the Hensel and Gretel Rotwein (red wine), amongst others. Both of them are particularly fond of the Cabernet Sauvignon grape variety, which predominates in this red wine. The wine is a powerful deep red in the glass. On the nose, it is redolent of cocoa, vanilla, blackberries, cassis and dark cherries. The Hensel and Gretel Rotwein (red wine) is elegant and round on the palate, with wonderfully integrated tannins. The dry, boldly spicy wine has a fruity finish.The versatile Hensel and Gretel Rotwein (red wine) is an ideal accompaniment to pizza, pasta and similar dishes. It is also lovely to enjoy on its own – ideal for a cosy evening at home.

Hensel Höhenflug Merlot

The Merlot grape is one of the most popular grape varieties ever and is cultivated almost all over the world. It is, however, very difficult to make a top-quality wine from these grapes. With its Höhenflug Merlot, the Hensel winery succeeded in this. The grapes for this wine are harvested as late as possible to capture the last rays of sunshine of the year, resulting in a very concentrated wine that is an intense cherry-red in colour. The wine has a wonderful bouquet offering fragrances of ripe morello cherries and bilberries, complemented by nuances of elder and slightly smoky notes. On the palate, the Hensel Höhenflug Merlot shows lots of melt and an exotic spice. This Merlot was aged in new barriques, giving the wine noticeable but soft tannins, richness and powerful body. This is a red wine from the Palatinate to fall in love with.Try the Hensel Höhenflug Merlot with duck breast or fried chicken. It is also an ideal accompaniment to various cheeses.
