Clos Mogador Priorat DO ist ein renommierter spanischer Rotwein, der aus der Weinregion Priorat in Katalonien stammt. Das Weingut Clos Mogador wurde von René Barbier gegründet und befindet sich in Gratallops. Der Clos Mogador Priorat DO wird aus einer Mischung von autochthonen Rebsorten wie Garnacha, Cariñena, Cabernet Sauvignon und Syrah hergestellt.

Der Wein zeichnet sich durch seine tiefrote Farbe und seine intensive Aromatik aus. There are quite a few people who claim that Aalto wines represent the best of Spanish viticulture in the Ribera del Duero region. Every year, the Aalto wines are once again compared to those produced by the Vega Sicilia estate, and the Aalto wines often win by a nose. For more than 30 years, Mariano García Fernández, the founder of the Aalto winery, was responsible for the wines produced by the Vega Sicilia estate, of which he was the Technical Director. With his own Bodega Aalto, García Fernández wants to achieve the best result without losing respect for the grapes. In creating his wines, he strives for the maximum expression of the terroir, uniting structure and power with elegance and complexity. The Aalto was characterised by a warm winter’s end and an early spring with early flowering. Sufficient rain in summer and a dry autumn led to grapes of an optimal quality. The grapes come mainly from very old vines that are up to 80 years old.The pure varietal Tempranillo (in the Burgos and Valladolid region better known as Tinto Fino) is a cherry red in colour. The wine offers fine notes of spices on the nose, along with light flavours of well-integrated wood. On the palate, the Aalto is wonderfully fresh and dense. Notes of tobacco, coffee and subtle aromas of liquorice reveal the unique style so typical of this Aalto. Due to its soft and round character, the wine can already be enjoyed young. Owing to the soft, enclosing tannins and a good acidity, the Aalto will increase its complexity over the coming years. The ageing of the wine in half new and half used barrels ofAmerican and French oak ensures that it will store well in the bottle. Enjoy the Aalto with a lovely beef roast or simply on its own in front of the fireplace.

Dieser noch sehr junge Wein stammt von einer der besten Weinlagen der Pfalz. Gelegen am Ortsrand von Forst zwischen Kirchenstück und Ungeheuer, ebenfalls sehr renommierten Weinbergen, ist der Jesuitengarten bekannt für seine eleganten, geschliffenen und feinen Rebsäfte, die voller Mineralität und Komplexität sind. Dieses große Gewächs verdankt seinen Namen den Besitzungen eines ehemaligen Jesuitenklosters von Neustadt an der Weinstrasse. Der 2020er Forster Jesuitengarten ist ein enormer Wein von großer Kraft, leuchtender Ausstrahlung und sehr klarer Struktur. Seine Trauben werden in mehreren Durchgängen gelesen, um eine absolut punktgenau Reife zu garantieren. Im Keller erfolgt zunächst eine getrennte Vinifizierung der zeitlich unterschiedlich gelesenen Trauben und anschliessen werden diese zu 50% im Faß ausgebaut, die andere Hälfte im Edelstahltank. Der Wein wird nach dem Abstich noch auf der Hefe gelassen, was zu seinen Frucht und dem erhabenen Volumen beiträgt.An der Nase Steinobst, exotische Früchte, etwas Rauch, Pfirsich und leichte Kräuteraromen. Am Gaumen stoffig, straff und mit sehr feinen Gerbstoffen, alles balanciert von einer wunderbaren Säurestruktur. Der Nachhall ist beeindruckend lang. Um die volle Power seiner Aromen geniessen zu können, verlangt der 2020er Forster Jesuitengarten noch ein paar Jahre der Reifung. Er wird ohnehin ein langes Leben vor sich haben.Toll zu dunklem Fleisch mit herzhaften Soßen, aber auch zu asiatischen Gerichten und Fisch eine vollkommene Kombination. Und natürlich als Solo-Genuß eine Offenbarung.

The Anthonij Rupert Syrah comes from strictly selected vines from the Franschhoek Valley in South Africa. A pre-selection is made as early as the hand-picking stage. Only the best grapes find their way into the wine. Both the fermentation and the subsequent maturation, which lasts an average of 21 months, take place in French oak barrels. The Anthonij Rupert Syrah was then bottled unfiltered and matured for a further 2 years. The red wine has a wonderful aroma of violets, plums, raspberries and vanilla. On the palate, the wine is amazingly complex but extremely multi-faceted. Beautiful fruity notes are in harmony with spicy notes and a gently integrated tannin structure. The finish is also juicy, balanced and convincingly long.For a long evening in front of the fireplace or as an accompaniment to a festive meal, you will hardly find anything better. Open the wine at least two hours before drinking and give it some time to develop in the glass.

The Creation Art of Pinot Noir is a red wine from South Africa that is one of the flagships of the art of winemaking in the Cape. This Pinot Noir has a fascinating, multi-faceted aroma of rose petals, dark cherries, allspice, pepper and aniseed.The density of aromas on the palate is also impressive. Lush notes of cherries and plums mingle with earthy aromas of mushrooms and spices. Bowman writes of a "tangy, tannic structure from 60% new oak for 12 months" and of a top wine with purity, precision and structure for eternity.The light ruby Pinot Noir from the Art Of Creation range matured for a year in oak barrels, around half of which were new barrels. The barrels are meticulously selected and only the best are used for this South African red wine. The majority of the wine is vinified with whole grapes, i.e. without destemming and crushing. This is particularly suitable for Pinot Noir, as it extracts more color, aroma and structure.Look forward to an outstanding Pinot Noir, which you should enjoy at a drinking temperature of 16 to 18 degrees. The dry Art of Pinot Noir goes wonderfully with a duck liver mousse with raspberries and thyme or with confit de canard.
