Print product information sheet
This Tawny port unites notes of nuts, figs and dried fruit in its bouquet, along with nuances of ripe red fruit such as cherries, plums, blackberries and raspberries. The Tawny, like the Ruby port wine, initially matured for three years in large wooden casks. Thanks to the subsequent aging in smaller wooden casks, the Tawny offers more sophisticated, finer aromas. On the palate, the wine is vivid and velvety, with a lovely spice and a dry finish.

The red to amber-coloured Ramos Pinto Porto Tawny is a blend consisting of the Tinta Roriz and Tinto Cão grape varieties. You’ll enjoy discovering the Tawny port wine from the venerable Ramos Pinto winery with smoked salmon, tomatoes filled with cream cheese, and melon with ham, for example. It also goes beautifully with desserts which are not too sweet, cheese variations, fresh nutshells or simply on its own as an aperitif.
