Fresh, acid-driven wines are the hallmark of the Estremadura region in the west of Portugal on the Atlantic coast. The Espiga Branco embodies the qualities of this growing area. The wine is a blend of four autochthonous grape varieties.
Fernão Pires, Arinto and Moscatel, supplemented by Sauvignon Blanc, give an acid-driven wine with notes of citrus, green apple, kiwi and gooseberries. There is also a subtle spiciness. A wonderfully refreshing, invigorating wine.
Enjoy it as aperitif or with tapas, fish and shellfish. Also an ideal companion to pasta dishes with light sauces.
