Terlan Vorberg Pinot Bianco Riserva DOC

This 100% Pinot Bianco from Alto Adige is a creation from the winery Cantina Terlan. It shines golden. On the nose, a complex bouquet with nice ripe fruit notes of melon, white peach, pear and apple. Graphite notes and a spicy woody notes complete the multi-faceted bouquet. On the palate a fine combination of fruity, aromatic and salty notes. A soft wine with a spicy, lingering, mineral finish. The wine was aged for 12 months on the lees in traditional oak barrels.

Enjoy the 'Vorberg' Pinot Bianco Riserva DOC to vegetables in cream sauce or fish with white meat. Ideal also in combination with a spicy fish soup or peppery mussels. Also a mature pecorino or Parmesan are the perfect companions.

Mitten im Weinbaugebiet Terlan wurde im Jahr 1893 eine der ersten Genossenschaften Südtirols gegründet. Damals setzten sich 24 Weinbauern das Ziel der gemeinsamen Produktion und Absatzförderung. Heute gehört die Kellerei Terlan mit ca. 100 Mitgliedern, einer Anbaufläche von 150 ha und einer Gesamtproduktion von 1,2 Mio. Flaschen zu den kleineren Betrieben des Landes. Die überschaubare Größe trägt wesentlich zur Qualitätssicherung bei. Unter der sachkundigen Kontrolle des Önologen Rudi Kofler reifen im modernen Kellereitbetrieb 70% Weiß- und 30% Rotweine, die allesamt die DOC Klassifizierung haben.

Terlaner Weine haben die Besonderheiten von Klima und Boden in sich gespeichert. Bei ihrem sorgsamen Ausbau wird größter Wert auf die Erhaltung und Betonung des Gebietstyps gelegt. Das Ergebnis sind unverwechselbare, sehr eigenwillige Weine, die sich durch Frucht und Rasse, aber auch durch bestechende Dichte und Langlebigkeit auszeichnen.

The single-varietal Sauvignon matures on the fine lees for five to seven months.This white wine pours an intense straw yellow into the glass. It has a fruity aroma of apricots, mandarins and passion fruit. There are also hints of elderflower, nettle and mint. Terlan Gries Lagrein Riserva DOC
If you are interested in the original wines of South Tyrol, Terlan Gries Lagrein Riserva DOC is a must. The Lagrein grape variety was first mentioned in 1379 and is one of South Tyrol's indigenous red wine varieties.The Terlan winery ages its Lagrein for twelve months, partly in large wooden barrels and partly in barriques. The red wine made from 100% Lagrein impresses with its color, aroma and taste. It shimmers a deep ruby to garnet red in the glass. Explore the fine aromas of earthy-mineral and fruity aromas with notes of sour cherries and plum jam. On the palate, the velvety fruit notes are complemented by a peaty, spicy taste. Terlaner Classico DOC
The Terlaner is a blend of Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. It is the historical Cuvée produced since the founding of the winery (1893!). The wine sparkles straw yellow with green hues. On the nose it offers notes of green apple and white peach. They are typical of the classic Terlan. Add to that, even subtle nuances of lemon and mint.On the palate, the white wine is invogorating but very soft. He also impresses with its freshness, minerality and great length.The grapes for the wine were picked and selected by hand. Stations of the winemaking-process: slow fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel; storage and ripening for 5-7 months on the lees in stainless steel tanks; finally, the assemblage a month before bottling.At about halfway between the cities of Merano and Bolzano is the wine-village of Terlan. The history of the South Tyrolean Cantina Terlano dates back to 1893. Over this long period Cantina Terlan has built an excellent reputation. The Wine Advocate stated in October 2014: "Cantina Terlano is one of the most prolific wineries in Italy and among the oldest in the region. It offers an outstanding line of wines that embrace multiple styles and philosophies.
