The Louis Jadot Chablis comes from northern Burgundy, halfway between Dijon and Paris. The continental climate—with cold winters, possible spring frosts, and warm summers—along with the marly limestone soils characteristic of Chablis, shape the wine’s style. The Chardonnay grapes come from the Chablis appellation, which covers approximately 3,500 hectares.
Fermentation and subsequent aging take place in stainless steel tanks. This ensures that the fruit, along with the freshness and minerality typical of Chablis, are preserved with exceptional clarity.
On the nose, the wine displays aromas of citrus fruits, white flowers, and stone fruits, accompanied by subtle stony and mineral notes. On the palate, it is precise, fresh, and concentrated, with lively acidity, distinct citrus fruit, and pronounced minerality. The dry, elegant finish is carried by subtle stony nuances and a pleasant freshness.
The Louis Jadot Chablis pairs excellently with oysters, mussels, and other seafood, as well as fish tartare and pan-seared fish. It is also an excellent choice with goat cheese, sushi, and light vegetarian dishes.
